Originally posted by Hawk: I really like Niblers voice... it must be hard to play his voice. Nibbler is played by Frank Welker (the guy who did Fred from Scooby Doo). He plays both his wierd squeeky animal voice, and his "English" voice. According to the DVD commentaries this guy can do any animal noise immaginable, and he really gets into and enjoys, so prehaps it isnt that hard to play his voice after all

I am of course partial to Amy's voice. Something about cute Asian girls just gets to me Of course, I still think Leela's got some good moments as well. Notably in 'The Problem with Popplers.' Mainly one of her best acting bits was during her defending of the popplers and her little spat at Fry and Bender. She defenitely sounded upset and jealous. Also Leela in 'The Day the Earth Stood Stupid.' She reminds me of my sister: serious a lot, but cute at times (for Leela, her weakness for cuteness is Nibbler and the Nibblonians. My sister's weakness for cute things are Hello Kitty, birds and rabbits). When Leela began to act all dumb, it almost sent me to an insane crazed zone. She was cute, but the line 'Is there Mrs Queequag? almost made me shudder thinking: My God, Leela's become an anime girl!' (More to follow when I'm sober).

Hmm, this is more aimed at the Germans around here, but others might find it interesting too. Exactly how old are the woman who play Leela on Pro7? 10? 13? Listen for yourself here. It's a compilation of Leela's voice in Spanish, French, German and English from the same scene. The German one is particular silly.
