Bender always had feelings. "Bite my shiny metal ass" and "you're full of crap, Fry" isn't exactly Vulcan phrases. That's the feelings known as anger and irritation.

The season 2 DVD commentary for bicyclops, says that that guys David Cohen, the guy to the right of the being of inconcievable horror is also one of the shows creators, forgot who though.

The HypnoToad was kinda freaky too.. "all hail the HypnoToad"

The strangest to me would have to be the lil Neptunians from Tale of Two Santas.  Walking around holding hands and being little.  They're just so strangely weird.

Mittens the Kitten terrifies me.  I'm afraid she'll one day come pouncing through my window and nip at me.  No, wait a minute, that was the weed talking.  On second thought it's "M5438," an entity of pure energy, possibly of the same species as Melllvar.  He was the date Amy took home with her from the "Hip Joint" in "Love's Labors Lost in Space."  I think that character was inspired by the "hyperintelligent shade of the color blue" mentioned in Douglas Adams's "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."  I wonder also if it doesn't have something to do with that song "Pure Energy" by Information Society.  This was popular back in the eighties (when rings were cool) and the chorus was a looped sample of Leonard Nimoy's voice as Spock.  Does anyone have any background info on what he was talking about in the epsiode of Star Trek that provided this audio track?

I think it might be Melllvar's species, on the DVD they say that they wanted cheasy looking effects.

Either the gangsta-rappin' Jellyfish Squid Woman
(helped Zoidberg operate in H Word) or those spider like things in the Buggalo one.

I would have to say that Dean Streptococcus from "A Clone of my own" is one of the freakiest looking characters on Futurama. Behold:

I agree with coop on that one
Morbo did make the usual bright and chirpy Linda scream in terror by simply lifting his shirt up.

I gotta go with one of Alkazar's wives.  I'm talking about the weird blue and purple one.  That thing was crazy.

What about that guy that tried to dupe Leila into thinking he was was a cyclops - now that guy was freak city.

Oh yeah page 2 - Alkazhar huh?  Sounds like something that dissolves in a glass.
