i guess i'm a mixture of fry and bender. i'm lazy like fry, but i like to think that i'm not as stupid as him.
and i have the same sick humour bender has. as, for example, i laugh at people who fall down some stairs.

I'm Amy because I can be an airhead and klutz sometimes.  Fry, because sometimes I'm so damn lazy.  Bender, because for my age, I have a sick sense of humor sometimes.  Zoidy, because I eat a LOT!  And Leela, because I am intelligent.  Gawd.  I'm all the characters.  :p

I'm generally kind of dense and I like to dream a lot, and I love video games.  So yes, I am like Fry!!  XD

Let's see, in what other ways am I like him....

Oh yeah, I'm unlucky, I can't get a boyfriend, I went to college for 2 years but later got terminated for having bad grades/attendance in one quarter.

Yeah, that's Fry alright (except I didn't drop out of college).  ^^

I'm Amy because I use a lot of made up words(including spluh, buh, guh, abracaduh) and I'm very clumsy and blonde. I'm also Bender, I laugh at soap operas, and when people hurt themselves. :P

Actually I don't think she makes those words up. I think they're supposed to be some kind of 31st century and/or martian slang.

Well but if she doesn't make them up then how come nobody else seems to say them?
Anyway on topic...i'm not really much like any of them but I suppose I have elements of Amy, Leela, Fry and Zoidberg.

Me, I've got a lot of Fry & Zoidberg, with some Farnsworth thrown in.  The one I aspire to be more like is Bender; gotta love his "grab the world by the throat" attitude...

Amy is younger than the other characters.  Most people in their mid-twenties or older don't tend to use the same slang words as college students.  Also, Amy is from Mars, so it could be a regional thing as well.

That is exactly what I meant. Once again someone has taken what I said and reworded it so that i makes much more sense. Curse my semantic inadequacy.

Yeah, it is a regional thing.  According to Wikipedia, Amy uses Martian slang.

The fact that someone posted that on Wikipedia doesn't make it any more valid than if it had been posted here, though.

I'd like to make an addition to my previous examination of myself. I have to add abit of Leela in there as well because I'm decisive and know how to get things done. Also, I'm surrounded by incompetant morons all day long.

You sound just like my science teacher!  She doesn't think wikipedia is a valid source for information for projects just because anyone can post on it.  (I still use it though, and just don't put it in my bibliography though) lol

It actually can be pretty acurate they have people whose sole job is to go over recent additions/changes and check their accuracy. People (teachers in particular) just assume it's inacurate because anyone can edit it.

Uh huh, and just how are they supposed to check the accuracy of the statement that "Amy uses Martian slang"?  It's never stated in the show that she uses Martian slang.  As far as I know, the DVD commentaries don't mention it either.

We can speculate all we like, but short of asking the show's creators, there's no way to know for certain.

Same so you'd have to add Scruffy to this mix (mess) here...

Fry: I'm messy, lazy, and love video gmaes and TV, I'm also an idiot at times. I'm very disorganized but not as bad as Fry.
Amy: Clumsy. I trip over nothing.
Zoidberg: I'm sort of a loser.
Leela: I'm smart, I try to think things through and people think I'm a freak, if there is something unfair happening. I try to stick up for the person who is being treated unfairly especially if I really believe in the cause.
Kif: I don't really stand up for myself, but I'm smarter than alot of the people around me but I don't usually let it show.

and voila you have me...

What up?

I guess I identify most with Fry. I don't see my current self as being as close to Fry-ness as I used to be. I'm still a tad on the lazy side, and 20 years with the same screwy employer has definitely nurtured my apathy. But, in my younger days, I was the fat (350 then-240 now), Texas version of Fry. Lazy, apathetic, not-too-bright and an almost total flop with the ladies. My life, then, was much like Fry's. That's why I identify with him the most and always root for him.

i'm nearly like all of them.

Fry --  i'm always lazy.
Leela -- strongly independent and tough.
Bender -- gets into trouble ALL the time.
Professor --  forgets stuff easily.
Hermes --  I tend to yell at people a lot. Mainly the weaker ones.
Amy --  I'm a little ignorant.  but not a moron.
Zoidberg --  i'm always hungry.

What, no Zapp?  ;)

Actually, would you really call Amy 'ignorant'? I mean, sure, she comes across a bit ditzy at times and it may be no coincidence that her engineering studies are at a university that is deeply sensible of her parent's influence and financial contributions. Nevertheless, while she is occasionally clumsy, I can't recall any instances of her being portrayed as incompetent or displaying an embarrassing lack of knowledge.

Just off the top of my head I remember her flying the ship (once while also controlling a winch operated electromagnet), using a jack-hammer, operating welding equipment, plus various ship repair/maintenance activities that we never quite see because she is half inside some compartment at the time. Did she re-convert her ironing board into a party board herself, I wonder?

I think I know what you mean and its hard to know what word best describes it but somehow I don't think that 'ignorant' is the right one.

Yes, there's a Zapp -- full of potential.  the special kind.

&& clue me up, but i thought "ignorant" of a different definition.  i mean to use it with a better word. "gullible".

there you go.  fixed forever.

Eh, I would say that although she's fairly shallow in most areas, she isn't nearly as vapid as she is usually depicted, or as she is perceived to be. In any case most of her lines are gold -
"Bender! You should be more ashamed of yourself than usual!"
"Now we'll never beat Jupiter State!"
"I'm not imaginary, I'm parallel!"

- and she's an underestimated character in my view.

While I'm here I'll also just reiterate that the most I'm like any of them is I guess having some characteristics of the same four I named ages ago somewhere in this thread.

Amy-A: I am not evil!

I think, like Frisco, I'm a bit of a mix.
Very much like Fry in the fact that I am better at video games than anything else, and am quite content sitting on the couch watching movie's (of the Futurama persuasion) and eating junk food...
But I do like to mess with people, just to laugh at their reactions.
