In this thread we post useless observations we've made about characters in the show that are unlikely to be known by other people. It doesn't matter how small they are!

I'll start:

Elzar's hair is the exact same colour as his shoes.

Gus (one of the hobos) only makes one appearance under normal lighting conditions. (Trying to enter the party in 300 Big Boys) In all other appearances, it's either dark or extremely bright.

Like... Fry wears a belt? But it was only seen in "Bender's Big Score"?

In "The Late Philip J Fry", Fry wears a suit resembling the attire of Carl Sagan when he was in "The Cosmos". Interesting fact!

At one time Zoidberg had teeth.

If they're going to address the minor error of Munda originally having human arms (which is now technically not an error, smart move Futurama), they could sneak in an explanation for Zoidberg having teeth at one point. Maybe Decapodians only have them for a year or two and then they fall out or something.

Amy is in charge of the Professors teeth, maybe she left them in Zoidbergs mouth and forgot about them.

The radiator Fry 'made out with' was at his funeral... in Leelas dream...

I'm sure most of you know that fry's attire is based on James dean from rebel without a cause

Yep :) As well as Leela was in the end based on Sigourney Weaver's outfit from "Aliens".

Various of their initial designs were quite different. Yet, it happens quite often for a designer to realise a character's look incorporates too many different/fancy approaches. And settling -in the end- for a rather classic look with only a few special characteristics in the end.

The scale of Destructor is very inconsistent. Sometimes he's only slightly larger than a human, and other times he's the size of a building.

Also, the size of the Amazonians.
Ranging from "About two heads taller than a man" to "Double Human Size".
Omicronians also suffer a bit from size deviation, but it's not that grave.

Scruffy's  hair is seen parted down the middle when he removes his cap to flush his dead goldfish down the toilet. I do have a useless fact about Scruffy- his mustache goes grey after his appearance in "A Fishful of Dollars." In the scene where he's buffing Bender's back his 'stache is reddish-brown.

True but in the Bots and the Bees, Scruffy takes his hat off when he arrives outside of the Planet Express building and has no hair.

The man who brings Nixon the TV remote in "Saturday Morning Fun Pit" is the recruitment officer from "War is the H-Word". He's gotten a new tie and hair colour since then, though.

*Calculon got his acting skills from the Robot Devil.

*Robot Santa only has spikes on the ball of his hat when he's mad; when he's neutral, or happy, it has no spikes at all.

*Nixon has not used his large robotic body since 'A Head in the Polls'

*Every member of Fry's family, other than his grandma that he did the nasty-in-the-pasty with,  has somewhat spiky hair.

and finally......

*Hermes is Jamaican.

Actually, I think that quote is from Bender's Big Score.

*Only five (Fry, Scruffy, Amy, Leela, Hermes) out of the eight members of Planet Express have hair, as the Professor, Zoidberg and Bender are bald.

*The Planet Express Ship, Bessie, Is female.
