Yeah, but for now I work as a production assistant. Basically busboy on the shot, coffee fetcher, gaffers tape holder, and fill in for the grip.
BUT LET'S STAY ON TOPIC.
So. I am mosdef on the Leela/Fry ship, and for some reason I think there's going to be an episode where the Professor gets his groove on. Where Mom gets back together with the Professor. I don't know but I feel like that's going to happen.

mosdef

I had to look up the definition. No Thank You.

I know if I got my way, the show would be less popular & more people would hate me but it's a crime to let the show continue the way it is. the staff is so stubborn! I flew to all of their hearts & fired my machine gun!! never mess with my stuff! if the show gets renewed, it's only good cos I'll get to see more of Fry. if it doesn't get renewed, it's good cos I want the lies to stop!

Unmentionable! If you go out with Fry that would mean leaving Leela on the curb. How can you do that to her? Now I'm going to have to comfort her. 'Cause Amy isn't doing a very good job at consoling her.

They really need to work on the art house love triangle. I forsee an episode where Mom, Wenstrom, and Farnsworth all go on a date together, where Mom is having a wonderful time and both old men are miserable and that's what makes Mom happy. Sadistic but would be funny as hell.

She thinks and believes Fry is straight. It's an apocalypse if she learns that Fry actually loves you. Her personality makes her stalwart to Fry and will have a very hard time if he was gay. 13 years of Fry hitting on her. It makes a mark.

Tasty to the rescue!

Amy and kif started as far back as aftr, it wasn't revisited until awitm. Other than making awkward heavy breathing phone calls, what are some other stalkerish things could kif have done in that time? No pic for the moment, I'm posting this from my phone.

Googeez, hey, welcome. You seem cool. (I also love the Farnsworth / Mom / Wernstrom triangle, and would love to see some more of that in flashback.)

But seriously . . . please don't feed the troll. Unmentionable doesn't know how to have a conversation. He'll just insult you and freak out when you refuse to buy into his fantasies, then drag this whole thread off-topic and into the realm of crazy. He hates the show and its creators, and no-one really knows what he's doing on a Futurama appreciation forum. Unless you think you might actually come around to his point of view, it's just disruptive to talk to him. Talk to him via direct messaging, if you're curious to see how deep the crazy goes. The rest of us have had about as much as we can take.

Tasty : I can totally see Kif looking up Amy's yearbook pictures. And then thinking she's even more amazing because she wasn't always cute.  ;)

Unmentionable there is no reasoning with you, the malevolent thoughts are cascading into my conscious mind however I will refrain from spilling them... for now.

As for the big fling I honestly don't know what they could do with the ship at this point besides wedding bells.  I would not beat a dead horse if I where them but then again, I'm not them.  I have heard rumors of such a scenario, but then again they are only rumors.

And If they do get married it is going to be such a win for me and everyone else on this forum.  Not just because that's what we all want but because it will make Unmentionable's banter utterly refutable.

Although I think for some reason the Old timer ship is going to be the popular exploit for screenwriters.

HAF, what about the love triangle! I mean, dude, it could totally work to have a three-way date between Wernstom, Mom, and Farnsworth. To make things worse, Mom takes a glimpse at Cubert and gets the hots for him. And then funny episode happens.

It's generally agreed that if Fry and Leela got married, it would damage the dynamic of the show. It could work as an (actual) series finale though.

Popping in to answer one question that has gone unresponded-to, then sliding waaay across the room forum to threads that are less, well, frustrating.

Which ep is the one where Fry is twirling his fingers? And I'm thinking she said no, right?

It's from the end of "The Farnsworth Parabox"; Fry asks Leela if she wants to catch an ape fight...together--and she, in fact, says yes. It's one of Fry's few Leela-related victories from the original run.

The integrity of the show would be fine.  Does the Simpsons suffer because of a family dynamic, no.  Of course there are no purple and orange haired rug rats but that's OK.  Truth be told I can't think of how it would harm the show, it would just bring to light another avenue of thought somewhere around the absurdities of a newly wed young couple... in the future.

I'm trying to ignore you you vexing little shit.  You make all these inferences about a gay Fry trying to fill in gaps with what, pure conjecture.  And to what avail, so you can feel all warm and fuzzy inside thinking a cartoon can bring you love.  Your infatuated with a cartoon, do you even know how outlandish that sounds from outside your realm of though!! You are a parasite, a troll, and your contrived fantasies are noxious to this form. Why has no action been taken to amputate this leech!

Aww man that's just great.

But also nice pun a few posts ago.

Also I don't think we need another family based comedy show, we have Family Guy, The Simpsons, and so many other. What should happen is if they do get married, show goes on as usual. Just marriage jokes added to the repertoire.

The reason it works in The Simpsons is because that family dynamic has been present from the beginning. That isn't the case for Futurama.

I think that Fry and Leela should stay with the daiting dynamic. Have part of an episode dedicated to ripping Bye Bye Birdie and the whole Going Steady. Would be a nice gag. Also with this, maybe you could future proof the show by having an episode where Fry proposes and Leela shoots down the offer, putting off indefinatley [sic] cause she still just wants to date. Oh boy all the story ideas swimming around in my head that nobody cares about cause all they're doing is eating bait from the master baiter of this thread.

Matt Groening has mentioned that this show was to be different from other sci-fi shows by being an office setting as opposed to a military setting. My guess is they also wanted to get away from the family dynamic. The characters were originally meant to be co-workers(the creators of this website have obviously picked up on that). Shifting it to a young couple setting would not be a slight tweak. Might as well rename it. Familyrama.
