Back on the subject of Futurama-related pick-up lines: I have it on good authority that asking a girl if she wants to engage in some "'just friends' spooning" is an effective method of getting her in bed. (To spoon, that is; I don't know if such a line would actually get you laid. But still!)
[Quagmire mode on] Sure it will...sooner or later, the girl will fall asleep. *Giggity* [Quagmire mode off] (Is it a bad thing to quote from "Family Guy" in a Futurama board ? It probably is, I guess).

(at the risk of geezing-out, I wasn't 1000% sure what "shipping" even meant until now )
1000% ?! lol When in doubt of internet terms, Urban Dictionary is your friend: 1. shipping
A term used to describe fan fictions that take previously created characters and put them as a pair. It usually refers to romantic relationships, but it can refer platonic ones as well. (Just think of "shipping" as short for "relationSHIP".)
It generally uses the initials of the characters shipped or a combination of the names, though this is not a rule.
More here So anyways, I saw about 10 odd minutes of 'Put your head on my shoulder' that was showing on tv last night Fry: Valentine's Day's coming? Oh, crap! I forgot to get a girlfriend again. Well, since neither of us has a date, why don't we...? Leela: You just assume I can't get a Valentine's date? Fry: Shall we say eight o'clock? [Enter Amy.] Amy: Hey, I'm taking my new car out for a spin to Mercury. Anybody wanna come? Fry: Yeah, OK. What's the weather like? Amy: The usual: Boiling lead, oceans of lava. Fry: So, what? Shorts? I was heavily reminded why I never liked the Fry/Amy pairing and how clear the show clearly shows why it doesn't work. What they had was never serious - and Fry never wanted it to be (and with how Amy goes so quickly to the next date shows how easily to forget him (despite his head being on her shoulder). Yet the episode actually finishes with a Fry/Leela moment Well actually it finishes with Benders ass exploding, but whatevs. One word: Thundercougarfalconbird.

For anyone confused about the Fry-Leela-Amy relationship: The love of Fry's life is Leela. They finally got together when the show's future was in question. Why the hell not, right? Since the show came back, having them as a couple would just be boring(if there's no dance, there's no romance), hence the one ep which irked me a little when I first saw it: In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela. But Amy and Fry getting together in the first run served a very specific purpose(IMHO of course) which you can plainly see in Leela's face and body language here: And that's all I have to say about that. ~Forrest Gump

OK, I'll bite. Why would Fry liking boys more than girls be realistic? He has always been shown to like women except for a radiator.
