I'm surprised more people don't like Bender's Game because of Roberto's awesome part in it. I like it either way.

I thought Bender's Game was one of Roberto's least shining moments. But I know I'm in the minority here, so okay.
I agree with you there. I think "Bender's Game" is just one of Futurama's least-shining moments... Speaking of tertiary characters who could use more screen-time, though: I love Linda and Morbo so much, and--though I understand that their whole schtick requires us to only see them on TV news reports--I wish they appeared more often. And not just as a duo, either; I find Linda in particular to be really amusing on her own.

Hee, if I am allowed to be overly amused by "cell-phone-telephone"
It is impossible to be too amused by that. It's honestly one of my favorite moments in Wild Green Yonder. Cell-phone-telephoooone. And I think what I like about Roberto is that he's one of the few Futurama characters that I can sort of imitate well. (I just tested this statement by saying, "And the other hamburger will also be made of your lungs" aloud to myself. I'm damn good.)

But do you have the borderline unhinged expression?
In any case, you should use that impression for your voicemail. Crazed references to lungs might cut down on telemarketing messages.

But do you have the borderline unhinged expression?
In general, or when I'm doing my Roberto impression? (In either case, the answer is yes.) Topic: Leela is my favorite character, which I suppose would make her the, uh, greetest in my book. I know very few people share my opinion, but no matter.

Well, Leela is my favorite Futurama character, also. And was even before I learned her true origin.

I think Roberto in Bender's Game felt like such a carbon copy of his IitMF appearance that it felt bland.
I agree with this, and would also say that his appearance at the beginning of "Law and Oracle" is equally derivative. Pretty much every appearance he's had since "Insane in the Mainframe" (which is one of my favorite episodes, thanks in no small part to how hysterically hysterical Roberto is) has been disappointing. I do hope he doesn't become overused like some other characters. *cough* Hedonism Bot *cough*
Ugh. I was never all that fond of Hedonism Bot, but his overuse in season six has just made matters worse. I like how he's used in "The Late Philip J. Fry," but that may be it.

At least his use in L&O was somewhat justified; they needed an eccentric rich guy character to be housing that booze. Same with his appearance in TLPJF: who throws a wild bachelor party better than Hedonism Bot?
I don't remember every appearance he made in the original run, but for some reason they didn't grate on me as much (I love how he's used in Devil's Hands; that's probably my favorite of his appearances). He's such a one-note character, and he hasn't really been used in interesting ways in the new run.
I mean, a lot of tertiary characters on this show are one-note--but for some reason their schtick doesn't wear on me as quickly. Hedonism Bot just isn't all that funny after a while, I guess.

I agree with Gorky that Hedonismbot is often a one-trick-pony, and the novelty of that hilarious, ridiculous design has worn off to a certain degree. He still works imhO as the occosional pervert stumbling in and delivering a one liner. I would certainly like to see an episode dealing with Hedonismbots origins, though. Alone to hear why the heck someone would build such a machine

Well..he would not have to find out about his origins himself About the same way this was handled in "Devil's Hands": Though he did commission the opera, after doing so he stepped into the background again, and let Fry do the composing, let the trio interact among themselves, etc.. I certainly agree with you that Hedonismnot as a "plot-carrier" does not sound so good, but I still can see him as a "plot starter".

Maz was watching a youtube video of collected Hedonismbot moments from the original run. Absolutely hilarious to listen to from the kitchen while you're making an avocado and salmon sandwich. He's just so extremely decadent and depraved that you can't not like him.

Bu then yet, there's Fry, they guy we can all relate to...
I can relate to Fry, Bender, and Zoidberg pretty equally. Fry: The poor schmuck that can't seem to catch a break. A total bachelor. Bender: Takes amusement in misfortunes that are distant from oneself. Often offended by basic concepts of humanity. Heavy drinker. Zoidberg: Poverty. Alone quite a bit. Can take enjoyment out of the small things in even the worst of times. My favorite character, though, is probably Bender. Sass, brass, class - he's got it all.
