And don't you think Tinny Tim is based on some Charles Dickens character? As haleys_comet pointed out, Tiny Tim was a Yank--but we were still pretty close to our brethren The Evil British then (calm down, it's a joke) and had yet to develop our own finer accents like the New Joisey, or the Texas Drawl. Pip of South Park got his own episode a little while back--narrated in "live-action" by Malcolm McDowell!--which was a mixture of Great Expectations and B-movie sci-fi/horror and pretty much Pip's last big showing to date. Like Tinny Tim, once you've established him as a long-suffering Dickens character and smacked him around a bit, you've used him up completely. (I would have enjoyed seeing Tinny as a totally-ineffective part of the Robot Uprising, though.)
