Does anyone know any of the misfortunes that have happened to Tinny Tim? I know that there have been, but can't remember any due to the show not being shown in a while.

I think the Crushinator squashed him in "Mother's Day".

Bender also drinks all the booze and makes him go hungry in "X-mas Story," and Nibbler eats the parrot's toenail off TT's plate at the end of that ep as well.

Bender's load of gifts (dumped from his chest cavity) crush Tinny Tim's mothers day gift on the conveyor belt, just before TT is run over by the crushinator.

Have you guys noticed any similarities between Pip from South Park and Tinny Tim? Like the English accent.

And don't you think Tinny Tim is based  on some Charles Dickens character?

Yes he is a take off from Tiny Tim from A Christmas Carol. He sorta does have an old English accent but Tiny Tim is American in the story so mabey it reflects the way they spoke back in that time.
Who does Tinny Tims voice anyway? Does anyone know?

No, but if it were one of the main voice actors, I 'd say it 's the person who does the voice of Amy.

As haleys_comet pointed out, Tiny Tim was a Yank--but we were still pretty close to our brethren The Evil British then (calm down, it's a joke) and had yet to develop our own finer accents like the New Joisey, or the Texas Drawl.

Pip of South Park got his own episode a little while back--narrated in "live-action" by Malcolm McDowell!--which was a mixture of Great Expectations and B-movie sci-fi/horror and pretty much Pip's last big showing to date. Like Tinny Tim, once you've established him as a long-suffering Dickens character and smacked him around a bit, you've used him up completely. (I would have enjoyed seeing Tinny as a totally-ineffective part of the Robot Uprising, though.)

I checked myself to see who did his voice and it is Tress MacNeille. It isn't Lauren Tom who does Amy's voice. Tinny Tim has such a sweet voice as a matter of fact

Pardon me for being confused, but I'm confused.  I hate Dickens, so I haven't read A Christmas Carol in ages.  If Bob Cratchet and family are American, why are they living in jolly old England?

Probably because (1) we--myself included--are a sack of illiterate knobs, and (2) we've probably seen one too many broad "adaptations" that skew the locale. Hey, I last read the real thing over twenty years ago; the last written parody I read was in "National Lampoon" Magazine, and the last film adaptations I saw were Scrooged and A Muppet Christmas Carol--which, although it got the locale right, you can't blame me for blotting out of my memory.

Cop-out explanation: Crachit & family came to England to escape "the tyranny of the New Englanders."   :laff:

Thankyou so much. I had no idea that he was in that episode, I was thinking it might've been the ep Bender gets made.
BTW who's story did he star in?

Before accepting him as one of their own, the Robot Mafia gave Bender a test. He was to deliver a disc to Sammy "The Mechanical Bull" Gravano in Little Bitaly.

Unfortunately Smitty and URL was on an undercover job, looking for suspicious types, and zoomed in on Bender. Fortunately Bender bought some oilade from Tinny Tim, and gave him the disc in the proces. Tinny Tim delivered the disc to Sammy "The Mechanical Bull", in exchange for a few dollar (he only got one note from Bender)

Ohh right. I know he was programmed to sell oil and spell cute letters backwards and I find that so adorable, he has got to be on my top fav list of characters on Futurama.
