Uh huh.
So Leela is... bipolar?

I think Fry is bipolar!   And no, I don't think that's odd.  That's the way it always is.

I think Fry is bipolar!

We may think what we will, but Bender is the only one who could truly be bipolar.

I think Leela is not bipolar but has multiple personalities. Ya Bender is pretty darn bipolar.

In the old series that was true, however not so much in new episodes of season six after the events of Into The Wild Green Yonder.

SpaceCase, why must you analyze everything with your relentless logic?

I think that quote is from Futurama, however would you rather SpaceCase or anyone else analyze everything illogically? XD (jk)

They have a real relationship now! It's just not the focus of every episode. Just because two people are in some sort of real relationship doesn't mean that they have to be constantly holding hands and doing annoyingly romantic things.

That was just nonsense. Are you trying to say that they should be in a relationship? Because they already are.

They've shown little bits of it in just about every episode so far in season 6.

I seem to remember David X. Cohen saying somewhere that that's something they definitely don't want to do with the ship.

The tension between them is obviously a major part of the show's chemistry, and there's no way they'd ruin that.  It focuses attention onto some of the subtle swings in Leela's moods and attitude and draws us in.   :)

Yah I think so it's really strange. It's probably intended by the writers though.

That's actually a really good point mazda07. I can't believe I overlooked that.

I was just thinking to make a thread like this but yay it already exists. I was going to say that after all Fry has done for her and proved himself to her (Parasites Lost, The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings, Bender's Big Score to name a few) why is there still "will she, won't she" going on? After ten years she would have either given him a try and called it quits or moved on. We saw her date a few people in the series...it seems like she either doesn't care about finding a guy or gave up finding the right one because she's "married to the job". It just seems this long of a push-pull wouldn't happen IRL. It's only now starting to bother me a lil mainly due to the fact that those two had snu snu in the Professor's and Zoidberg's body. Have they done so in their regular bodies? I don't know! That is what bothers me!

It is a futurama quote rush, do you know which episode its in? I do I do, pin a rose on my nose. Logically illogical.
If memory serves it was The Cryonic Woman, Michelle to Fry, amirite? :D

I think part of it is also that they do both realize that they love each other (Leela did say that Fry (Lars) was the only man she would ever love and I doubt she forgot about that), but the situation that they are in - working together for a company that sends them on dangerous missions on a regular basis makes it hard for anything concrete to form for fear of being hurt.  Hell, they have both already either been dismembered, killed or put into irreversible comas on multiple occasions.  I know it would be hard for me to open up to someone completely if I knew that there was a good chance they could be dead or worse next week.

They should at least be hooking up more. Drunken work socials always lead to hookups. Except at my place, where it's all chicks and a guy not exactly playing for this team...

They are in a relationship in season six, right? They just act the same because they were in love for a long time before that?

My guess is that if they keep mentioning their relationship in every episode, it'll take some of the focus away from those episode's stories.

That's a good point. I like that it's in the background and that it's still tense. The shipper in me loves the UST more then the RST. :laff:

And my composition is 99% shipper and 1% trace minerals.

This should be given in a fortune cookie to every real life couple who have just begun seeing each other.
