Do we need two polls about this?

But I always think this is a sweet what-if picture:

She won't.  And the ones she have already have one eye.  Watch "Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch" again.

IF the series is ended with a epilogue "five years later", that would be pretty cool. Otherwise, no. That's the kind of thing that ruins a good show.

Yeah, I agree. I think Fry/Leela offspring would be great, like maybe in the time travel episode. Perhaps if we could just see a glimpse of the future at some point, with Fry/Leela children, that would be cute! But not in the main storyline of the show, that wouldn't work.

Those "Five years later" segments in a show always bother me.... I like to use my own imagination.

Even as the shipper I am I can't imagine Fry/Leela kids in the show. It just wouldn't be the same and I love Futurama the way it is. It's about time they started dating a bit and maybe grow closer but sill have complications. It's funnier that way and if they end the serise I'd prefer it end with them marrying rather then them having kids. Some shippy episodes are good enough for me :)

I'm of the same opinion. Fry and Leela are a great, classic couple the way they are. I wouldn't object to a wedding at the very end of the series - particularly one that explodes in some kind of comic mayhem (yet the vows are spoken and the bond finalized), but in the meantime I'd like  to see the relationship continue to develop, following the same excellent formula the writers have created. I once read a phrase in a book pertaining to another relationship which goes: "Forever will he love, and she be fair". By which I mean, while Fry's heart is breakable, his devotion to Leela should be unshakable, while her love for him grows by carefully measured degrees. THAT in my view would be the most fun to watch.

The only way you could be 100% certain of one-eyed offspring would be .....well, this would not be a pleasant storyline.

What about if the series ended - that is, ended, no chance of it coming back again, MG and DXC make up their minds they won't bring it back ever - with Leela discovering she's expecting?

What do you think? Fitting end, marine-predator leaping cop-out, or somewhere in between?

The only thing about that is that at the end I hope they don't do a 'Where Are They Now' segment because those always bug me. No fun in it, just telling you what's going on, I'd much prefer it to end either with a little more mystery. But it won't end any time soon (I assume) so no need to dwell on 'The Perfect Ending' now....

Or they could turn it on it's head a bit and show us Fry having Leela's kid. Hey, anything can happen when it's 1k years in the future and your only living relative/employer is a mad scientist!

Maybe she should have kids, because if that doesn't work out, there could be an emotional scene where she has to abandon the kids. Mind you, I don't think that would make much sense.
