Eh, I could see the attraction there. I mean, she's got two eyes, Fry's got two eyes...

But Fry likes things that have one thing instead of two things.

It's from "A Big Piece of Garbage."

"This picture of your wife: pure garbage."

Oh, right. Thanks.

The Fry that became Lars felt that way. All our Fry knows is that, when building a robot to replace your dead soulmate, it's better to have one dishwasher safe eyeball and a whole lot of exposed purple wire.

...Although he was a robot, too.

That robot was almost exactly the same as Fry though. Except that he had experienced the death of his loved one... which can screw someone up quite drastically.

It's possible that our Fry haven't realized he likes things that have one thing instead of two things. If we kill Leela off he might realize that, though. Or if we send him back in time.

Considering Fry finds Leela beautiful (or at least this is what he says in TKOS), I'd assume that, since falling in love with Leela, his definition of beauty would include having one eye (or no eyes, if his hook-up with the Radiator Woman from the Radiator Planet is any indication). He also tells Leela he liked her when she was a cyclops in "The Cyberhouse Rules." And that her colossal eyeball is what makes her her in "The Prisoner of Benda."

I mean, I was mostly kidding about the whole thing, but given that alternate universe Fry in "The Farnsworth Parabox" winds up with his own one-eyed version of Leela (and that the Fry from the robot universe asks Universe 1 Leela out), I'd guess it's an established character trait that, no matter which Fry it is, he loves Leela (any Leela), despite her monstery eye.

Yes, what I said was he didn't realize it, it's a subconscious trait.

Still, this joke has gone too far.

And you call yourself a fan!  I knew how she looked the moment Fry mentioned her!

I cry pardon, Svip. Will I be stripped of my admin privileges now? :(

Are we still closing these after 20 pages?

...ah well, someone'll start a new one.
