What were they doing for those two years???

What was the crew doing for the two years they were officialy gone for? At the start of BBS, they were basically immune from knowing they had been gone for two years..

Maybe they were floating about on a white screen like in anthology of intrest 1, just floating on a white screen..fun.

Yup, though I like to think there may have been some lovely hair extensions in there. It usually takes longer than two years for shoulder length hair to grow long enough to be hip length, even for people whose hair grows fast.   Plus Amy does not seem patient enough to me to allow her hair to grow out without some sort of enhancements  that would make it easier and prettier. She seems to me she would always want to reflect the latest styles so letting one's hair grow out naturally would not let her be able to change it all the time to reflect the latest styles.   

Then again, maybe they have some super duper hair growth product in the 31st century where you can let it grow to your hips in 5 minutes.

Acording to BBS they just went on with business as usual since they weren't even aware that "BOX" had "cancelled" them. You'd think they would notice something was wrong when they stopped getting payed.

Welcome new Pellette Bianca!

I reckon the space between devils hands and BBS affords more artistic licence, for future time travel plots.

Here's a theory that maybe should take us ultimately to the shipping thread.

The next few movies take us through various adventures involving the repair of the universe other intergalactic battles, possibly a weird zoidberg romance, some more time travel stuff involving fry just to make BBS even more confusing, then for the Finale, it ends were Devils hands ended and the two years is taken up by Fry and leelas blissfull togetherness, until the end of time, precisely at the moment before BBS came into existance in a parallel universe!

Yes, youd think that with thousands of parallell universes, one of them would contain an almost identical universe except with a long adventure instead of the traditional 20-minute adventure.
