important changes:

zapp cant be tarkin, while he is a blundering idiot, zapp is always on the side of good, even if he constantly fails.

i think that it would be funny for C3PO to be a bit more like zapp, and R2D2 is always groaning through whistles and beeps

Hermes- Lando or  mon mothra (dont ask me why mon mothra, but i think it would be funny to hear Hermes say "many bothans died to bring us this information..." in his accent)

Okay- my first post!  I tried to do it but did not succeed, so I throw out the following idea:  can you come up with a cast for the "Lord of the Rings"  using Futurama characters?  I think Fry would be a great Samwise Gamgee with his silly but loyal and heroic self, but what would some of you come up with?  I only think this because maybe the film "Bender's Game" might deal with fantasy elements (hopefully), though that could just mean a  computer game world as fantasy.  I would love to see Futurama do a send up on traditional fantasy, which has now become more popular than science fiction.  There is a lot of room for humor there in having sci fi characters function in a high fantasy world...

A few weeks ago somebody posted a picture in the Ship thread of a photoshopped 3D Futurama poster where Zach Braff 'played' Fry.  Interesting that you'd connect those, too.

I put characters with other character that relate. Leela is a strong opionated woman so shes Carla and Amy is a clutsh(sp?)so she fits with Elliot.
