First off coldy's Shatner/Krik picture . I like the Fry/Leela shippy pictures. Yes Fry does look like Zach Braff in that one picture. I'm not sure why Lars doesn't strike me as Fry.I guess it has to do with the way he matured. Lars definatly not the way that I would like Fry as he gets older.

After a night of hard drinking, Leela wakes up to a surprise - and not for the first time! I would give credit for this pic, if I knew who drew it. Ralph 'has woken up like that before' Snart

Right on sisterwoman! I think the way Leela so casually tossed Fry aside for Lars strains the limits of belief. She was more like a plot device than a true character in BBS. Now if there had been a scene in which she revealed her reasons for rejecting Fry (the same old ones, new ones, whatever) then we could either say "yes, she's a bitch alright" or "well, she does have her reasons" but she was never given that opportunity in BBS. I think Keeler and Cohen realized that no treatment of her feelings towards Fry would meet with much acceptance given the way she acts in BBS, so they ignore her story and concentrate on telling it from Fry/Lars' POV. The only nod towards Leela's true feelings is the peck on the cheek at the end. Which I'm sure we all agree has become a bit hackneyed.

Come to think of it, didn't someone do a fake movie poster of a live-action Futurama movie, wit Zach Braff starring as Fry?

If a live-action movie was ever made (BLECH!) I would only accept Seth Green as Fry. No one else.

Not quite.
I actually think that the characters and premise of Futurama would make a cool live-action movie. Call me insane, because I am to some degree, but all the elements of a really fun space opera are there, with some shit that would look wicked on the big screen.
Though I think a live-action adaptation would want to differentiate itself from the series somewhat - make itself a little more serious, still lighthearted but more focused on the sci-fi and dramatic elements of the series.
Also, as a further differentiation, it shouldn't actually call itself Futurama. It should have a different title, like Planet Express, or something like that. So the show and the adaptation would stand apart from one another.
I would love to see it.

Yes, it's cruel to leave us shippers in the lurch like that, but it's always nice to dream! As for a live-action Futurama, I don't think it'll work so well. Especially if there's any severing of body parts, or Zoidberg climbing out of his shell. Ick. The differences always drive me up a wall. so I have no idea where I'd stand on this anymore. Zombie Jesus I've been confusing my self so much latly. You know, there are professionals who can help you out there...

A relationship doesn't have to be sexual btw. The Fry/Bender thing can be cute without it meaning they're dating or some weird crap like that.
I also enjoy the occassional friendshippy scenes between Bender and Leela - which are kinda touching considering how much the two of them usually rub each other the wrong way.

Case in point, the beginning of BBS. One of the best Bender and Leela moments in my opinion.

It's nice to see pictures that are actually related to Futurama on here again.

Ooh, I forgot about their interaction in My Three Suns.. That was a good one too. Bender: Look, you don't like me, and I don't like you - Leela: You don't like me? I like you. Bender: Oh.. what is it you like best about me? --- (can't remember who said this..): well, is she coming? Bender: I don't know, but I do know she likes my 'in your face' personality. I also love the moment in ALOHO when Jackie tells Leela what she really thinks and Leela starts crying and Bender sees and then kicks everyone out of the pizza place. One of the reasons I love Futurama so much is the relationship between the three main characters: Fry, Leela, and Bender. I'm hoping for more Bender/Leela moments in the future movies. And of course more Fry/Leela Get them together already! Hooray for FUTURAMA related pictures!

Still, doesn't the "cushion" bruise? Honest question. Heh, I remember Rahel from The God of Small Things wanted to find out the hard way through most of school, so she would bump in to other girls on purpose. Hey, in all the alternate-ship stuff, looks like nobody's talking about Amy and Fry. Then again, that was just two episodes. Or why not Zoidberg and Farnsworth? "I'm sooo in to you!"
