i recently bought the full box set of the Futurama DVDs (and now my life is complete!), but i noticed that some of the deleted scenes were rather shippy, and i wished they had included them in.  such as..

Parasites Lost:

Fry: "You didn’t have to go upside my hair Leela!  I was trying to defend you!"
Leela: "Your heart was in the right place, but your brain must have been up your…"

Time Keeps on Slipping

Fry: "Drugs are for losers! And hypnosis is for losers with big weird eyebrows! I don’t know what I did cause time skipped over it, but I’m sure I romanced you fair and square!"

Bender: "Or maybe Leela had to marry you cause you got her pregnant!"

----------------------------------------

Zoidberg: "Go on."

Leela: "I don’t want to push him away but, I just don’t think I love him…"

Zoidberg: "Do you love me?"

Leela: "No!"

The Sting:

Leela: "Oh my gosh! I better get a rag! Wait!  Fry!?  Is that you?!  Should I get a rag?!"

Fry: "Hmm, why am I all sticky?  Did I fall asleep on the floor of the movie theatre again?"

Leela: "I don’t believe it!  You are alive!" [She kisses him]  "Mmm, and you’re honey glazed!"

Obsoletely Fabulous:

Fry: [grabbing Leela’s hand] "Hey, it’s the new ultra- realistic pizza place rock band!"

The Farnsworth Parabox:

Fry 1: "We’re married!" [Fry and Leela 1 kiss]

Fry A: "Aw-oh, why couldn’t mom have bought me the green jacket?"

The Devil’s Hands are Idle Playthings:

Leela: "I’ve been a fool, a fully justified prudent fool!"

Fry: "Leela, I feel I should give you fair warning.  After the premiere, I’m planning on asking you out.  You know, on a real date!"

Leela: "What do you mean ‘a real date’?"

Fry: "Well you know, like seeing a movie where you’re supposed to care if the people die.  And after that, a kiss goodnight."

Leela: [Seductively] "That sounds nice."

anyone else have any thoughts on these? i would have taken some screenshots too but my program was being stupid.

The devils hands are Idle Playthings is easily my favorite deleted shippy scene.... As Fry told her he was going to take her on a date, she smiled immediately... Also, she admitted to being a fool for not seeing who he really was on the inside....

I never understood why they took ou...

The Farnsworth Parabox:

Fry 1: "We’re married!" [Fry and Leela 1 kiss]

Fry A: "Aw-oh, why couldn’t mom have bought me the green jacket?"

It's my favorite deleted scene and i wish they kept it in! It's not that big on the shippy fctor but fry sems sweet.

The best shippiful one is:

The Devil’s Hands are Idle Playthings:

Leela: "I’ve been a fool, a fully justified prudent fool!"

Fry: "Leela, I feel I should give you fair warning. After the premiere, I’m planning on asking you out. You know, on a real date!"

That scene is too awesome for anyone to hate!

Not because of the shippyness of it, but Zoidberg was hilarious!

Well, to be fair, we're using the deleted scenes to discuss character development and character interactions that could have potentially occured but never did because said scenes never actually aired, and therefore cannot contribute to canon.

Incidentally, the TKoS wedding cut is my favorite, if only for that adorable expression Fry wears at the end of it.

Correct. The episode was depressing. Now, keep in mind that there is a difference between 'sad' and 'depressing'. 'Parasites Lost' was sad, but it had a point. 'Titanic' is sad, but it makes you understand. 'You Were Meant For Me' is sad, but it conveys the emotion so well, you actually end up feeling it.

'Time Keeps On Slippin'' was depressing. It has no point, no ultimate message. No meaning behind it, no real progessive steps at all. In fact, it was a backwards step for the entire relationship. It was useless and cruel. I wouldn't have minded a heartbreak story, if only they'd made it 'sad'. Not 'depressing'!

Maybe the point was that though Leela didn't see it, there WAS a chance Fry could win her heart.  It was possible for the two of them.  Now he at least knows he has a chance.

And maybe also that he shouldn't be looking for a grand guesture either.  This one failed on him.  He shouldn't try to prove his love to her with something huge like that, simple can be better.

I dunno... I just think there was a good reason for the writers ending that episode that way...  There's my idea.

It didn't fail.  It worked.  She just forgot it in the time skip.

Darn time skips!

The deleted scene from the Sting is my fav, and I think I have a pretty good idea as to why they removed it. At the end of that scene, Leela seems almost seductive, but (if you follow the episode in order from where that scene would have been) in the next scene she admits she is glad he is alive because she is no longer responsible for his death.

The deleted scene had Leela making a huge leap and then taking a step backwards in the next. Character wise, it didn't work. But that still can't stop me from enjoying it  :)

He's adjusting his cufflings so they look better. Its kind of a "time to go to work" and/or triumphant gesture like tightening a tie or wiping your hands.
