Okay, I remember in one episode (i think it's 'that's lobstertainment!' that zoidberg's mother is like.. "sure you can be a doctor.. if you wanna give up your career as a comedian!" anyways, how could he have a mother? doesnt it say that in 'why must i be a crustacean in love?' that once they mate, they die?

also, watching parasites lost last night really  showed just how 'serial killerish' leela can be, as seen from events in anthology of interest 1.

Male Decapodians die right after mating.If female Decapodians also died then,then they couldn't give birth coz...Well you know...Coz they're dead...

No one ever said it was Zoidberg's mother in "That's Lobstertainment". Most likely it was an aunt. The line "if you want your parents (plural) to roll over in their graves" indicates his mother is sharkfood too. Another clue is that Zoidberg mentions 3 parents in his letter.

My guess is, after a Decopodian mates, either gender, it dies.  Then the babies come to be.  It is most likely that Zoidberg's parents are dead.  I agree with the fact that Zoidberg was probably raised by an aunt.

Its obvious, the Decapodian which told Zoidberg his parents would be rolling over in their graves was definetly another relation/friend/neighbour other than his parents, as the female and male Decapodians both die when they mate... Although it is quite a trick that this other relation/friend/neighbour is featured to make you think it is his mother, but as cumbled together from WMIBACIL she is not!
