It used to be milk but time makes fulls of us all...

Fools.

There's been much talk of Fry's slobbish ways, but I don't recall many occassions where Leela's been that bothered by that aspect of his persona. She's more vexed by his irresponsibility in the face of duty, his oft-immature antics, and his general brazen idiocy. She seems generally indifferent about his hyginene and cleanliness except as it pertains to the work environment.

I read that before somewhere else in PEEL - it may have been by Decapodian too... I just did a search on 'troll'... nah...not yet..

[@Cyberphob] Believable lie? Like the one that somewhere in the DVD collection there is a deleted scene of Leela making out with THE PROFESSOR? No. Burned out once, shame on you...twice... what was Amy's take?

Correct altghough that would change if they lived together - remember 'I, Roommate'? I was a bit shocked in fact when Leela opened the door to her OneEye apartment. (Q to the group: who else was - anyone?). A TV and a chair in the lounge. That was it. Clean, yes - but not much to be untidy.

Before the female PEELers rip off my .. needful things: there is proof: she also makes her meals one month in advance and freezes them (I bet they are the same recipes as well). She is (like Fry) mostly dressed in the unmistakeable (and very practical and revealing, we males are soo thankful for that) tank top and tight pants... so she has her peculiarities. Allright I admit Fry's room was Filthy, as his grilfriend I would beat him up with a wet gas bottle (A saying in the Alien world I come from, too lazy to write it in AL#2) until he tidied up and showered... NO, showered and then tidied up! And then we could ...talk. After he sucked the belly in.

I don't remember believing that lie... Other people were believing it but not me.

You're right Fry_B. Leela's not so much a clean freak. Her dwelling is sparse, a reflection of the emptiness of her personal life. That's not to say she's meticulous and clean. She doesn't have a problem with her parents living in a sewer after all.

Yeah, but she didn't know here parents for most of her life so she wouldn't have picked up any behavioral traits from them, and her orphanarium wasn't that clean either. It just that there's nothing to clean.

The Futurama world is a dystopia of sorts. Cleanliness doesn't seem to be on the forefront of anyone's mind except the Bureaucrats, but they're rather disliked.

Cyber... Cyber...! I like you. Why are you so grumpy with me? I never said you believed that one. What I meant was: After that joke - that you may remember and that was in fact not bad, it got several people to search through the DVDs - which is a good thing! keep Futurama fire alive! - I was always suspicious of deleted scenes I never heard about. That's all. Burned once.. twice...

Cyber if I upset you pls say so - no-one can hear us if you whisper it

Relax Fry_B, I'm not grumpy with you. I think that maybe you misinterpret my tone. I thought you were just implying that I fell for the lie as well and therefore, fell for a lie twice - making me Amy-like (which I probably am to an extent anyway, I used to be very gullible).

Seriously, I'm not grumpy at you and never have been.

Well I'm grumpy at him.
After I bought all his albums and went to all his concerts, Fry_B has never responded to any of my fan letters!

[Sigh of relief - hehe], yeah but there's another side to it. You keep misunderstanding me. Comparing you to Amy - that was the last thing to go through my mind - I just did not think of that. BTW Amy fell for Zoidberg's lies for... (geez... I'm too lazy to search the DVD...) many times in '..Crustacean in Love'... So it was simply a side line to keep close to Futurama. (I know it's stupid, Ok?) Anyway... I make sure I am clearer from now on. I like to be loved, so I'll make up to ColdAngel too, although he becomes suspicious as soon as I am friendly to him  :)

As to Fry_B... I dislike that name but it's all I could find while trying to get registered and the Board kept rejecting all names I was proposing. I'll reveal my name soon enough in the DD thread but be ready for something like LRR

Sooo... now that they stopped showing Futurama (Aaaarrgh) ... we keep going I guess...long live the DVDs (for who has them). ColdAngel, did you mention something about liberating TEN network executive heads from their bodies ?

I couldn't find where Network Ten's HQ is, so I drove around Sydney for a bit and then randomly killed a few vargants to work off my anger.

They show random eps - this time it was Roswell - it kind of sucks, but yeah, compared to nothing... they throw us a bone and we can't refuse it - CA, do you mind trying again to find their HQ?

CA, you said you lived in a small God-fogtotten place - was that Syndey ? Hmmm. well than Brisbane is...er... plus I live 60k from it on a mountain, so there's really nothing here (great!! that's what I like it)

I live two and a half hours south of Sydney, in a little craphole spittoon of a town that serves as a gathering point of all the lowest and most irredeemible scum in the country.
That's why I'm here.

Funny that... some are upset they're away from the Beeg City, and others don't know how to bloody get away from it.. I was born in a 2 mil people city, lived in a 13 storey block of flats, never had a garden... so the hell with the City...in regards to Futurama... everyone seems to be happy to live in New New York - maybe there is no 'country' left... Anyway, Futurama has a pretty centric view of the world - like any other American sitcom or movie I'd say...(see Fry's comments on US being part of the world in A Taste of Freedom)

... which reminds me - did Leela strip naked in front of everyone in that ep (Well Amy too...)? ...Some helpful editor cut that scene - or was it never drawn  :( As Ralph Snart said, we are not ashamed to look at her body  :) Fry didn't seem to be bothered either... say, was there ever a scene where Bender tried to get to the bottom of the matter in the hot tub ? I remember seeing something... somewhere...

I dislike the city as much as I dislike any place where other people reside. I went out for a quiet walk tonight and had a carload full of drunk fuckwits hurl a beer bottle at me. I'd like to get a hold of those sons of whores and gut them one by one. Fucking filth.
Human beings are fucked. You, me, all of us. We'd do well to stay as far away from each other as possible. I fucking HATE humanity.

...Yeah anyway. Cities. No, not for me. I prefer rural areas. There's more space to be alone... mostly.

Yeah, Futurama's American-centric. The Earth Flag is essentially the American flag. That holds true to America's present day aspirations toward 'American global leadership', as PNAC calls it. Pax Americana is what I call it - the New World Order, the groundwork of which is being lain in this 'War on Terror' thing that the Republicans have cooked up by staging 'terrorist' attacks. It boils down to world domination... the ultimate outcome of which is likely to be a United State of Earth scenario as depicted in Futurama (although maybe not with Nixon's head).
One thing you can be sure of - I will die fighting it.
Fry's comment in that episode mirrors the sentiment of most Americans today.

The scene you refer to is this one:

I like it 'cause Fry sees Amy first and gapes a little bit, but then he sees Leela and his jaw nearly hits the ground. His response to her is a lot greater.
Nice to see ladies who are comfortable with their bodies.

Well, it's not like he hasn't seen them nakie before, he dated/was attatched to Amy for a while and I think I can safely presume it's something he's experienced. As for Leela, it's a rare, long awaited moment.

Also, note where Fry has stategically placed himself;

And I'm sorry people, I have forgotten where that pic came from, I need to find out and give due credit. There's something in AlienLanguage 2 in lower left corner - anyone can read that? And it says it's based on a sketch by Sarge...

In TKOS he would've seen her naked in more than one way as they were married but I don't even know if they did sleep together - I know what you're hoping  :)

Fry can't help his natural colouring. Besides, a tan with that hair will probably clash somewhat.

Dat's  a really sweet thought TLF - no wonder it never crossed my mind. I was rather thinking Leela was reciprocating...what I described...
