Originally posted by Xanfor: Shiny, I'm disappointed in you. You haven't read my two latest fics. Hmph.
I have now...and I liked them, especially the very sweet and nicely done Turanga segment, but I can't really comment further at the moment, for which I apologize profusely. But I enjoyed them. ~~~ Edit (quite some time later): Okay, I have a little more time now... 1) Turanga segment. Very nice, I loved reading it. Though one thing bothers me a little.... I know Turanga didn't really kill millions of people, thanks to Phillip's cleverness, but she DID do some pretty awful things before that that can't quite be chalked up to "product of her environment" ...like the death of their universe's Amy. Don't get me wrong, I WANT her to be redeemed and be okay, but I think she'll have to (if you'll excuse the Catholic terminology) perform some act of contrition or something; redemption can't be TOO easy or it feels un-genuine
And if you have already planned such a thing in the upcoming 'movies,' feel free to slap me around with a large trout for doubting you. But if not, I think some further gesture, regret, apology, etc. to our Amy (as proxy) and (especially) to Phillip is needed. But other than that small niggling feeling of unfinishedness, which may be only because it's a "bridge" piece, it was lovely. The writing was beautiful and involving and I totally got into it. Turanga's a neat character, I love the way you've handled her. She feels like Leela but not too much, she's a different person but still fascinating. More later on the other story. (Will someone please post so I don't have to edit this thing AGAIN? )

Ok, I'll post then. Sorry if I sounded impatient in the earlier post. I didn't realize how incriminating it sounded until today. So sorry. Eh-hem, now, down to business. Ahh, that Bender's a devious rascal, ain't he? And he might just have a plan... More goes on behind those panels than meets the eye... Anyway, he's gonna do something, I know. Something to do with the 'Ship. Yes, yes, of course, indeed. 'Cause when you and I are together, baby, time will stand still. I can see that Fry's not the only one who's going to be getting a black eye...[Shiny, watch this space for a reply to your most helpful critique ]

Sorry I never got around to responding to your critique, Shiny. It's just that I started to write my reply, and then I finished, and then I looked back over it, and then I said 'OMG, that's it!' and I got caught up in writing again. Thank you, thank you! (And yes, it's supposed to leave you expecting more. ) Now, just to make this thread even more conversationy... Commence discussion!

It's not weird. Hair tends to fall into the patterns it's used to being in. Plus, she uses futuristic super-strength hair spray. And the salt water question is easy to answer, too: the pressure pills keep fluids from moving easily back and forth through the bodily membranes. (Of course, they can be pushed out by other means...and the water isn't getting warmer, you're just imagining things! ) Heh-heh...the Shinester out-geeks 'em again...
