other than the fact that Fry's brother had a son, we don't really know what happened to Fry's family after he got frozen.  What do you think happened to them?  Did they live happily ever after?  Did his parents get frozen in an arctic glacier for Fry to find 1000 years later?

  • Not strictly true. We know a little about what happened to them after Fry's disappearance from "TWoF." We know that Yancy Sr. and Mrs. Fry lived, presumably happily, long enough to see Yancy Jr. marry.
From "TLotF," we know Yancy Jr's son, Phillip J Fry the 2nd (I think that's how you do it) was the first man on Mars, a famous musician, and millionaire.
At least I think I have those episodes straight...

But, this is one of those undefined areas absolutely bursting with possibilities for fan-fic's, the rumored movies, or (Gawd I hope!) new episodes.
I'll shut up now... :hmpf:

Well, we know one thing: Yancy or his son Phillip J. Fry II. must have had descendants that, ultimately, produced Professor Hubert Farnsworth. Possibly the line of the Frys ended somewhere and was renamed to Farnsworth. Wether the Professor goes back on Phillip J. Fry II. or another descendant of Yancy, we do not know.

when my new fan fiction comes out, you will see it has quite a lot about what happened afterwards...

They DID try to find him.  They obviously missed him very much.  I'm guessing that Yancy Sr.'s comment to Michelle about it being a "waste of taxpayer money" for the police to conduct a search was tied in with his conspiracy theories - he figured Fry had gotten caught up in some communist plot and so normal police investigation procedures wouldn't do any good.

He could have a sister. In Jarassic Bark when Seymour goes to Fry's house there is a small scene where Yancy looks off screen. Perhaps in a movie they could add a bit where Fry's sister was talking to Yancy.

A younger or older one? I think a younger sister would be cool.

I think an older sister would be cooler.  My guess is his family did try to look for him, and probably had the police help them, and Fry was possibly on the 'missing persons' list, and then his family eventually gave up, and he was declared dead.  I stil wonder if there was a memorial service for Fry after the while he got frozen.  Or if his picture was on a milk carton.

As for a sister, I think she could've been a middle child.  What would her name be?  Think of any?

I think a brother and a dog is enough retro-continuity for Fry's family.  I don't see what kind of story could be told with his sister that wasn't already covered in "Luck of the Fryrish" - that his family loved him and missed him.  Throwing a sister into the mix wouldn't add anything dramatically, at least that I can see.

The sister can be in seens that werent in Luck Of The Fryrish. Like she could of given frys mum the "worlds best mom" cup. before fry and yancy entered the room.

And it should be a younger sister which would explain why she wasnt there when Fry was born.

That still doesn't explain what she'd be good for, story-wise, that wasn't already covered by Yancy Jr.; writers should never introduce extra characters for no reason.

Does anyone have a pic of that?  I did search the old threads for one, but the link to the framegrab was broken...   :(
