Working at a delivery service in the future like Fry and the gang do must be a low-wage job.  Ever wonder how much the characters get paid?

One thing's for sure, Hermes probably gets paid the most and Zoibderg the least.

I've no clue how much they're paid, but it seems 'minimum wage' would be a substantial raise...

Not sure, the company must rack in alot of money though, considering all the stuff the Professer has built, I doubt resources are cheap.

They get paid below minimum wage as mentioned in several episodes but minimum wage in the future must be higher than it is now if they can all afford their own appartments and stuff with less than that.

I also wonder how the Planet Express health insurance is like as well.

It's sort of a family business though, so even if they don't get paid much individually there's still a lot of wealth amoung them, not to mention the professor's an inventor so I'm sure that would generate some income- hell, if he has a patent on something moderately needed then they're set for life.  I know he's said he started the delivery business to pay for his research but old people always have more money than they claim.

I doubt Zoidberg gets any money in the end.

Running joke, see.

That's mostly because none of them like Zoidberg.

I should like to amend myself:

Regardless of how much they're paid,

IT AIN'T ENOUGH!

It seems the pay is high enough to allow an appartment for each employee and also some fancy stuff. Leela seems to own a car also - quote "Ptoblem with Popplers": "Please! I just paid off my car!" So I guess the pay is not too bad, at least for Leela who has one of the most important jobs in the company after all. Hermes can afford a family and a few other things, but maybe he is not paid by the professor but by the Central Buerocracy? Anyhow, I think money is not an important issue on the show (except for Zoidberg of course).

Yeah, the characters have apartments, but not necessarily thanks to working at PE (Amy, for example, is independently wealthy, Bender supplements his income through crime, etc.)

Yeah, all the characters who have apartments acquired them in some way before they started working at Planet Express, or else it makes sense that they're paid well-- Leela had her previous job, and Bender has his apartment from before (besides I doubt Robot Arms is very expensive). Fry is just mooching off Bender. Amy is rich, Hermes probably makes a lot, and Zoidberg is homeless... I think.

Zoidberg lives in the PE building, he says so in Kif Gets Knocked Up A Notch.

He said lived in the Professor's genetic barrel-ride thingie ("Zoidberg, what were you doing in there?!" "I live there!" (sad look) "I have no home!" *cries* ).

Actually, he probably lives in the PE dumpster most of the time, except when he can sneak in and find an empty place to crash.  (Presumably his office has nighttime motion detectors to keep him from sleeping in there).
