 Things only start to get weird for people when they develop a strong emotional attachment to the character, and really wish they were alive or real, hence having a shrine or some dumb shit like helps makes them feel more real. Nothing wrong with a few posters. Just as long as you dont get to the stage, where you become sure that the character is 'your one' and you convince yourself that you and said chartoon character (im generalising because this is what happens to a lot of thos anime nerds that get all upset) would be absoloutly perfect for each other and that its a REAL tradgedy that you cant ever meet each other. I mean, i've read a guy post that he was in a wheelchair or something and that his disability would match perfectly with Leelas 1 eye, and they they would make a perfect couple. It does happen to some people. Nothing wrong with posters, thinking she's cool/hot etc. Just make sure you don't get all retarded over it.

She is, too a cyclops.  A "cyclops" just means a humanoid being with with one eye in the middle of their forehead (as opposed to a binocular being with one eye poked out).

Leela is a cyclops; so are her parents.  They are all mutants whose mutations happen to result in the cyclops condition.

Everyone assumes that to "get it on" with a cartoon character that the cartoons have to become "real," or that it's a Cool World/Roger Rabbit kind of setup.  Am I the only one who just imagines the real people becoming cartoons?

It is ok to fancy leela, although, as soon as a small shrine appears in your closet behind your clothes and you can't sleep at night without going to it and kissing it, and you start refering to your mom or girlfriend( first one then the other) as leela and ask them if they would like to try some new purple hair dye you've bought them and if it would be possible for them to graft their eye of their face..., then you have an extremely odd and potentially serious problem...

Is your girlfriend sexy?  For argument's sake, let's say yes.

Does your girlfriend keep you warm at night?  I can't speak from personal experience, but I'm led to believe that's the general idea.

Yes, Leela IS sexy - as sexy as a Futurama character can get.
She is well-shaped, the eye gives her a quite exotic and unique appearence and a very expressive face, she is smart and good-natured... would love to have her as a girlfriend. To put it with the words of one of Mom's sons in "Mother's Day": "One day I want to marry a girl like her..."

Of course, it is no use to try and magic her to come into this world - you will have to go out there and find someone similar, as Leela is - alas - a fictional character. But there is no harm in dreaming...

pfft. That's sooo old-peel. These days we bump the old threads and merge with new duplicated. New peel is database driven, so the technical reasons we used to discourage it no longer apply.
