Did anyone else notice in some episodes Bender has emotions and some he dosn't.
In the episode I second that emotion the professor put a microchip in Bender's head to feel Leela's emotions, but in other episodes like Jurassic Bark Bender says
"I thought you were just pretending to love the dog to toy with my emotions."

That's the gag.

Futurama never let little things like continuity or internal contradiction get in the way of a joke.

Oh, and just in case, welcome to the residence of Futurama nerds, otherwise known as PEEL.

Please don't feed the locals, as some of them bite.  ;)

Enjoy your stay here, and try not to lose too many brain cells...   :p

He he all true  :) Also Bender does have emotions, he just isnt all that caring... The empathy chip was just put in place so he could feel just how upset Leela was that he flushed Nibbler.

Yes, Bender can feel emotions, it's part of his personality. Most of the time he feels emotions is when he directly affected. i.e. when he doesn't get what he wants, like affection of Fry or Bubblegum Tate. I guess that is the deal with Bender.     ;)

He only cares for turtles because as he points out, they are quite simalar to each other. For example, they both can't get of from their backs if they are lying down on them, well Bender discovers later there is a way to do that... They both also have a rock hard shell  :)

In 30% iron chef he says he trade any of his feeling, even smision to able to taste... so doesnt that make smision a feelin whatever it is?

Bender also cried about breaking up with Calculon when he was dating him when he was 'Coilette'.  And in Leela's dream in 'The Sting' Bender says, when he kills all humans he'll spare Fry.  Kill all humans, expect one!

As a robot, Bender has no emotions, and sometimes that makes him very sad.
