Bender's body in A Head of the Polls

I watched this episode with my cousin.  And Mike (his name) asked me why Bender didn't try to get his body back before they knew Nixon stole it.  I told him because Bender didn't think he needed a body after he sold it. 

What he asked me was if there's so many bending units like Bender, why didn't he get one of one of them?  Forgive my cousin, he's only seen three episodes of Futurama.  I just don't know what to tell him.

The body Nixon bought have all of Bender's stuff, which he also want back.

Indeed cujoe, only that these happened in season 3, and "A head in the polls" was in early season 2. 

Still it is the most possible answer, that Bender just really loves all the stuff he held in his body. Perhaps he also wants his one and only serial number back.

oh didn't even realized that... lol... maybe it had like germanfryfan said... sentimental value, he was shown to be quite the emotional one with his little bronzed booties... but that's season 3 isn't it...

The bronzed booties? That's even season 4.
The first episode of season 4, "Kif gets knocked up a notch".
