apu v leela's ex boss

another simpsons v futurama slugfest here
so its apu v leela's ex boss. 2 almost similar characters but who do you think is better. my vote goes to both of them

Okay, I don't think we need any more Futurama V. Simpsons threads.

Either way, I've got to go with Apu.

I agree with Leelaholic on both counts.  The thread isn't necessary, and Apu is much cooler.

Just on the principle of things, I'm opposed to Futurama/Simpsons comparisons.

1) It will further the Simspon-bashing some Simpsons fans feels are much too prevalent on PEEL (I don't see it, but it's their prerogative to interpret things that way).

2) Futurama have for years fought against the stigmata of being compared to Simpsons on every occasion. Look at sites like JumpTheShark, FUX forums and IMDB and you'll see a lot of "not as good as Simpsons", "Simspsons is much better", "Futurama suxx!! Simpsons RULEZZ!!" type threads. Let the shows be judged on their own merits, not how they compare to eachother.

Besides, Apu is a major supporting character, Ipgee/Ipji is a bit player featured in exactly 2 episodes (3 if you count The Sting) for a total of 4 minutes. Who do you think will win?

Teral, wasn't Ip...guy in 3 episodes (or I guess 4 with The Sting, though my rogue memory only has Terry there)? SP3K, HHRHGB, and TCW.

You're right, I forgot all about "The Cryonic Woman" (but not it's back!). I'm not even sure if Ipgee/ji was at Fry's funeral, I only remember Terry as well, but went on the chance he'd be sitting somewhere in the church.

In Futurama, The Simpsons is a television show.
In The Simpsons, Futurama is a television show.

So they're probably not physically related, only conceptually.

In a way yes, they are produced by the same person, with the same kind of animation. They also have similar characters in their show.
