He's voiced by Kath Soucie, who also voiced Fifi LaFume on Tiny Toon Adventures, whom you all love, right?

Oh, I think I remember that character.

She was the female skunk right?

She also plays a wide range of other characters aswell. But I think we should respect him for more then that.

Unlike you, not everyone is infatuated with every cartoon character and will therefore not respect a character they would otherwise despise simply because he was voiced by someone who voiced a different, seemingly respectable character. That point is totally invalid to the feelings expressed toward the characters themselves.

If I was gonna do it with a cartoon skunk, she'd be the one.

No, wait.  It'd be Hepzibah.

[Farnsworth]John, if by "respect" you mean "club over the head with a blernsball bat," then yes![/Farnsworth]

I respect Kath, for her wide range of voice talent.  I do not respect Cubert because of this ... I think he is a pompus moron.  But I don't hate him ... he usually provides for some good amusement.  But boy, would I just love[/] to clobber him!

<Scruffy>Second.</Scruffy>

Just because you respect the voice actor doesn't nesccesarily mean you -have- to like every single one of their characters they voice. For example, I respect Rob Paulsen immensely, he's a very talented voice over artist...but I hate every single character he's voiced in the disney direct-to-video sequels.

And more to the Futurama side of things, I like John Dimaggio a lot, but I won't dare watch one more ep of Kim Possible. So it's not like voice actors DON'T get cast in bad parts.  ;)

Cubert might be annoying, but it's fun to hate the little prick, so if he wasn't there, I think that Futurama would suffer slightly.

Wait.... he had fuck-all airtime...

Hmm.

Tiny Toons fucking sucks. Kath Soucie also did some particularly annoying voices such as Phil and Lil on Rugrats, but voice acting is no reason to like or hate a character. If you think it is, then you John are a moron. Oh wait, you were one anyway. Never mind.

But I still like Cubert though. He's such an asshole he's just great.

I'm not entirely sure I get your point, but we do see them in the same room during Fry's funeral in "The Sting".

Touchet.  But we were lead to believe otherwise.  Also, what does the presence of Guenter and Cubert in the same room have to do with whether or not we should respect Cubert?  I demand an explanation!

I kind of like Cubert.  At least he's a genius.  And who will take over Planet Express once Farnsworth kicks the bucket?  And in case nobody knew, Kath Soucie did the voice of Sonic's girlfriend Princess Sally and her 'Nicole' computer in the Sonic cartoon that used to be shown on Saturdays on ABC.  Used to watch it!

It was just my way of commenting that Cubert's existence was unnecessary; they had an annoying smartass in the form of Guenther.  They should have just brought him back, then made the clone some other type of looney character.

They said they couldn't resist using Cubert's design. I think they kind of new he wouldn't go well with the fans. Now that you mentioned they could have brought back Guenther, that is a much cooler idea.

Sonic sucks.
On the subject of Cubert, though, he's an OK character. John, you didn't need to make a thread about this either. There's already at least one thread about Cubert, you could easily have bumped that.

John, you are the master of late replies. For someone who seems to browse this board as much as you, I think you should know that two weeks after the initial post is a little late too start being witty.

Late?  Yes.  Off-topic?  Absolutely.  Trying to be witty?  It looked more like he was asking who Hepzibah was (notwithstanding the fact that Hepzibah, in the context of the post, is an animated skunk).  So, chalk it up more to dumbassedness than anything.

Now, JP, Hepzibah was the sexy lady skunk from the old comic strip "Pogo" ("old" here meaning "older than you", which is to say, pre-dating 1994).  David A would schtupp her (given the choice between her and Fifi LaFume, the sexy lady skunk from "Tiny Toon Adventures" ).
