That is kind of cracker jack stragetic/tactical thinking that can make you to a 25 star general just like Zapp Branningan.

Why would they investigate? If aliens invaded now and threatened to blow up a major city, I doubt we'd say "Hang on, let's go board the mothership and make sure they actually have a weapon that powerful before we try to waste our time defending ourselves and taking cover." No, we'd probably panic.

you don't need to get on a mothership to investigate there's other ways of doing it

In "when aliens attack" they defeated the earth defense fleet.  They didn't need to raise the temperature to defeat earth, they had all ready won.  They could just stay in orbit and rain bombardment done on major population centers.

The only reason why you would assume they did have one is if lives are at stake. In an agrument such as this one, you shouldn't use unsubstantiated facts to support your side.

That, whole comment might have just been an expression for orbital bombardment. Like when someone says, "I'll shove my foot so far up your...", they aren't nesisscarily going to do that, they really mean they will simply beat you up.

If Zoidberg people won and Earth is willing to surrender to the Omicronians, I just don't think Earth has a chance.
