i still wonder why Munda even said Leela's first name at all. It sounded weird, the line sounded clunky and didn't flow well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've always thought that Turanga was Leela's surname or family name and Leela was her given name. Wasn't her father's full name Turanga Morris? I know some people/cultures say their surname first and their given name second so I kinda assumed this was the case here.  Which leads me to another question.  Assuming this theory is true, how would the orphanage know that Turanga was her surname and not her given name?  I mean if it was written down on the note somewhere that her name is Turanga Leela I know I'd assume that her given name was Turanga and not Leela.

The orphanarium as well as Leela did not know that Turanga was the surname. Leela didn't find that out until after she had reunited with her family.

i actually wondered that as well. Also why Leela's hair was suddenly so much shorter than it should have been. Even fluffed up like that it should have come down to her waist.
