Fry can't have stupid fingers, or can he?

I was watching 'I Dated A Robot' recently and saw Fry getting his hands replaced after they were eaten by a T-Rex. How come his replacment hands weren't perfect? Shouldn't the new hands have been corected?

or were the writters thinking in advance and put him getting his new hands in the show on purpose, so they could be 'falty' because cloning isn't perfect?

In my opinion, Stupid fingers = bad coordination, so no matter what human hands he has, they'll still be clumsy.

However, the robot hands are at least partially autonomous (note how they choke him), giving Fry the extra boost of unnatural ability he needs to be dexterous.

Because he "broke" his hands in that night. For each time your hand touches your own penis, the IQ goes down at least 10 points.

As we saw in "A Fishfull Of Dollars", Fry doesn't have much money. He probably couldn't afford good hands and had to buy stupid ones.

Or maybe he got them out of the Bargin Bin. Thats why they didn't match his normal skin color.

I think the replacement hands would be exact replicas of the originals, like the hair from the hairbot... Otherwise, everyone would cut their hands off to get super hands...

I think Luke Skywalker "Broke" his new hand in when he was flying to Dagobah, for the second time in ROTJ. Everytime you masturbate, God kills a jedi. That's why Yoda died.

Fry's replacment hands were stupid in "I Dated A Robot" because they were cloned using Fry's DNA.  Fry had DNA for stupid hands so the replacement ones were stupid as well. When he got the Robot Devil's hands he was no longer restricted by his DNA, and therefore his fingers were no longer stupid.

It's based on hand-eye co-ordination rather than the actual IQ of hands. That's probably why the Robot Devil mentioned that Mrs Mellonger called them "stupid fingers" rather than what he called them. It was just a senile old ladies way of saying he had bad co-ordination.

One reason why he has stupid fingers is:

In "Parisites Lost", he could play the Holophoner with no problems. When he faced off against the worms, he damaged his hand eye corordination mode. Thus, stupid fingers. "I Dated A Robot" has no importance to why he has stupid fingers.
