Amy's Parents

If Amy's parents didn't like Kif and felt he wasn't suit enough to be dating Amy in WTBR, then how come they introduce Kif to Amy in AFTR and say he's a better man than Fry?  Other thing if Amy's parents are concerned about who their daughter dates, then why did they try to set her up with a fat slob before Amy told them she was dating Fry?

Well when Kif was introduced to Amy he was Captain (because Brannigan didn't want to go down with the ship)

And the fat slob (as you put it)
was probally rich or something

Because Kif was the captain of the Titanic, and as such they thought he was a very important person. Fry was a nobody.

The Wongs don't care about niceness and decency, Fry's strongest selling points. Their main demands for Amy's boyfriend is:

 - the ability to give them grandchildren
 - having power and/or money
 - male (preferably a mans man, but not mandatory)

Since Kif fulfills all three demands, Fry was out of the picture. When he lost his captaincy of the Titanic, Kif instantly dropped in value, and Leo developed instant dislike for him.

He can get pregnant! It's one thing for Amy to get prenant (asuming with her cuteness she never will), he does it. I'd rather have Fry. He's charming and kind and doesn't get pregnant.

If he can get pregnant that's another argument for Leo and Inez to pick him over Fry. Imagine both Amy and her boyfriend able to deliver grandchildren. That's their dream come through.

I'm not entirely sure that the Wongs would really care that much. They were crazy about getting a grandchild.

Yeah. IN WTBR, they said that Kif was a loser, but in KGANU, they admitted that they didn't care if he was a loser or not only cause they were finaly gonna get grandkids.
