Nope, it was sent by Professor Farnsworth. The mystery was solved by the DVDs, they had a deleted scene where you see Fry opening it and thanking the professor. He sent it because he was glad there was someone with spare organs out there.

Bartman gave the basics at the end of the last page.

So, that's who Fry got the X-mas card from!  It was from Farnsworth!  Plus, Leela should've gotten one from her unknown boyfriend "Sean" or from her former co-workers at Applied Cyrogenics.

Why would she have gotten one from Sean? Do you send xmas cards to your ex's? Also it was a full year after she quit her cryogenics job before she saw any of her old co-workers again. So obviously she wasn't close enough to them to be on their xmas card list.

Yes, or if Fry was smart enough (Which I highly dounbt) he coulda sent it to Leela, but, like everyone's saying about Farnsworth, he probably coulda forgot he could give it to her in person.

At that point the Fry/Leela romance arc had not started - Fry was much closer friends with Bender than Leela, to the point that he took pride in agravating her (drawing a unattractive picture of her in the dirt of the PE ship) and telling the professional beach bully to take her - he wasn't spending 50 bucks to impress her.

Of couse did anybody get X-mas cards from Leela?  To have a friend you must first be a friend (but yes, Leela has been mistreated so badly that she is very wary of people).

Notice that everyone we actually see is getting one from a relative - Zoidberg from his uncle, Bender from his robot (foster) mom, Fry from the Prof...perhaps in the future the greeting-card industry has lost some influence and sending a card to everyone you ever freakin' met is no longer "da thang." 

(The Prof got his from some ex girlfriends.  Don't scoff, there are all those women the previous aliens forced him to mate with.... )

(And "Sean" is too self-involved to send Leela one).

not many people send any type of card to an ex-lover.  we can surmise that it was a bitter breakup, so maybe sean is staying out of sight out of self-preservation.  i know i'd stay out of her way if she was angry with me.

Besides, even if he didn't fear for his life, I'll bet he wouldn't send her one.  He just sounds like that kinda guy to me (I suspect Leela was an easy mark for manipulative people when she was younger and less violent).

I hardly ever send Xmas cards, to anyone - I've got some kinda mental block about it.  Whereas one of my roommates buys them by the box and sends them to 20-30 people, including a bunch of online friends.

I'm sorry I can't promise to do that (because I know I'd break it and that would suck) but I can promise that if love alone could send Xmas cards, a whole lotta PEELers would get'em from me.

Nah. I know Xanthor. He just sits there, smoking a pipe, thinking. Occasionally, Farnsworth will say something to him, and he'll comment on it. That's where Farnsworth get most of his ideas, you know. But Xanthor's real purpose is to stay hidden, hiding himself from view and existance, planning and scheming. He's after something.
