TDHAIP was a fantastic episode merely for Bender in a magicans outfit. The ending ruined it for me-it was a little out of character to the ambience of the episode, and the show, and was just a little too touching for my taste.
If you'll excuse me a moment, I'm off to cry just thinking about it.

If that's not loyalty, I don't know what it is. And I don't find him to be a dumb dog, because if I did, I wouldn't find the final shot in which Seymour dies (although peacefully) so sad and powerful. Of course, Yancy's love for Fry was touching, but I think that an animal's loyalty to man is just amazing. Also, the song was great in JB. It matched the sad tone of the final scene.
