By 'king', I'll assume you mean the high priest. I really don't think so, the only decapodians that are their (besides Zoiby, natch) are Ambassador Moiven, and and a number of dignitaries. One of them (a female in a yellow dress) was bidding for the anchovies in "Fishful of Dollars." No Edna, no priest.

Well, we can assume that the high priest died after mating.  Therefore, it can not be him in the above picture (from AToF).

Isn't it possible that one of Edna's daughters looks alot like her mother? We (as far as I know) are never given any indication of how fast Zoidberg's species reachs maturity.

Or she could be a sister or something.  It definitely wasn't Edna herself, but I was also struck by the resemblance.

Maybe it was just a prominent Decapodian who happened to slightly resemble Edna. Not unheard of. Kinda like the people who make a living out of their resemblence with Clinton, etc.

Zoidberg also has a flashback in which his mother (presumably) appears, even though his species die when they reproduce...

You mean 'A Taste of Freedom'? That doesn't mean that she is her mother... She says 'if you want your parents to roll over in their graves'. Could just be his caretaker.

we may not be given indication of speed, but in TMLH, we can see that the decapodians go through, like, a billion growth stages before they get to their final one. presumably it takes quite some time to get to the final stage. do we know how old zoidberg is?

:laff: Ahahaha! That's one of the funnier typos I've ever seen.

For future reference, the proper term is "hologram".  ;)

That poor Decapodian King. First he has to embrace a life of celibacy to uphold the crazy traditions of his race, and when he finally decide to throw caution into the wind and do it with a (presumably) hot Decapodian chick, she's a [Moon Hick]hollowgram.[/Moon Hick] Sometimes fate is cruel.

They're both voiced by Dave Herman, so there's a similarity there. As pointed out in the DVD commentary for said episode.
