I noticed something in the Xmas Story episode.  When Santa Bot fires his TOW missile, for a brief moment before it hits the parrot, you can see the wire guiding the missile.  Nice touch there.
(TOW = Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire-guided)

You can see it when it launches too and you can see it unwind behind the missile as it travels through the air. Good thing Santa is a robot, otherwise he couldn't hope to keep the fix on Leela and Fry while closing it at such high speed. I'd say someone at Rough Draft know his AT-weapons.

I have a nitpick about that scene.  F&L are convinced they're about to die, and they lean in to kiss each other.  But when Robot Santa actually fires the missile they break off the kiss and start screaming!

Seems like a reasonable reaction to me. Either that or shit your drawers.

Santa isn't closing in on Fry and Leela, he's standing still.  Only the missle is moving.  All Santabot has to do is keep the reticle in the launcher on Fry and Leela.  The missile will track where he's aiming.

Santa may be standing still but his sleigh isn't. Even as he say "your mistletoe is no match for my TOW-missile" it's moving towards them, and right after the missile hits the parrot Santa is pulling up to avoid hitting the building, while travelling pretty fast.

I guess assume know this is because of his robot-dexterity. You know- with sci-fi servo motors and whatnot.

Comedy Central is showing this episode tonight and I am happy that it is getting a rare airing .
I wonder how CC decides which episode to air.Maybe a progranning exec, shoots a dart or something.
"The Sting" and" Space Pilot 3000" get much more exposure.
This is a good episode and if you haven't seen it before, here's your chance.
Yeah 5 year bump, I know.At least I didn't start a new thread.

i say fuck You your mom and everyone you love which cant be many

If you're going to verbally attack someone at least show some intelligence.
It's times like this I cant help but feel "survival of the fittest" is a load of shit.

Well, the jury's still out regarding survival of the fittest and homo sapiens but my bet guess is on intelligence being a negative trait that ultimately 'selects' itself out of existance.

(It's just a pity that we were able to take so many species with us. But, hey, thems the breaks when things are left up to evolutionary mechanisms.)

Your theory is looking like it's coming true; PEEL is a good example.  Does it seem that a good percentage of the new posters are... how shall I say this... a little OFF?
