call me crazy
*waits*
but there is no batmobile in that parking lot
if u're talking about the bluish one 3rd in the left row, the jet is on the front, not the back
and if u're talking about the black and red one, batmobile never had a bubble dome, it had a windshield with red/black lining, also i'm sure the hood wasnt 100% flat like that

Also it wasn't a hover car.  The Batmobile had wheels.

No, it's not identical, but it clearly does resemble the Batmobile.  I'd be surprised if that wasn't intentional.

O.K., so maybe it's the Batmobile's little brother?    :D

No, it's 'coincidence' I believe. I'm too lazy to look it up.

that's cool! i never notice stuff like that. like in the first episode, if you watch it carefully you can see nibbler's eyestalk, and in the episode with the empathy chip, when the mutant is singing, you see leela's parents.

I don't remember the "tail-fins" like that. I remember them as more long-ish and more incorporated into the bodywork. And not completely red.

There's a sideview of the car here.

After looking at those Batmobile Pics, I think the guys who work on Futurama decided to sneak in a futuristic version as an homage.
maybe.
