OK we've all seen them, time and time again in Futurama...those nice little nods to classic Sci Fi film and TV. But maybe I've missed some you've spotted, or you've missed some I've picked out...?

Anyway here are my favourites...

In "The Series Has Landed" - that gorgeous reference to "First Men in the Moon" by Georges Melier, where the carnival dude with the moon shaped head gets a bottle jammed in his eye by Bender.

In "Why must I be a crustacean in love" - well, the whole thing is more or less a complete mickey take of "Amok Time" (I think it's called) - the episode of Star Trek : TOS where Spock and Kirk are fighting over some vulcan priestess (even down to the crustacean national anthem actually being the dramatic incidental music from that episode)

The Iron Giant mickey take in the series 2 finale. Loved it!

"Independance Day / Mars Attacks" being sent up in "When Aliens Attack"

The suspiciously familiarness of Zap Branigan, and his love of maroon velour uniforms...

Any more?

Well, they have a whole list of parodies at FrCr. It's somewhere in there. There are more than you can count. A lot more.

Ha ha my favorite was Bender's apron, "To Serve Man" it was the title of an episode of The Twilight Zone. Heh heh, for some reason I find that very funny. I like those old black and white Twilight Zone episodes. Very ironic and stuff. Heh heh.

My favorite would have to be Leela:
"Well, it's a type M planet so it should at least have Roddenberrys."

Gotta love it.

On Mom's robot control there are two options labeled: Serve Man(Literal) and Serve Man (Ironic)

Can't forget the huge Star Wars rip off in "A Clone Of My Own" Where they go to the "Near Death Star".

I know it isn't a sci-fi flick but I just have to mention the part in 'The Deep South' where the others have been introduced to the Mer-people and Bender hums the banjo tune from 'Deliverance.'I know I personally wet my pants at that bit.

Does anyone recognize Morbo from the movie "This Island Earth"?
