Leela and Bender with braces

In this episode when Leela turns back into a teen, we didn't see her braces.  But Bender had braces.  In the first Christmas episode Leela saw a picture of herself as a kid in braces and in that one where Leela meets her parents in the sewers, it shows her as a teen with braces.

The Leela with braces we saw in "Xmas Story" was still at the orphanarium and looked like she was about 5-7 years, while Leela in "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles" was 14 if I remember correctly.

In "Leela's Homeworld" she looked 14ish, so she probably reverted back to just a few days after she got her braces off.

Nevertheless, in an episode we saw the Bender´s birth and he was born as an adult, and not with braces an a spinning hat

Bender probably just reverted back through previous bending unit designs.

Metaphorically and literal.

Just because Leela had reverted to a teen didn't mean her braces would suddenly appear.

Yeah, and just because Fred's out of his teens doesn't mean his braces will have suddenly disappeared.
