I thought the cowboy world was the only parallel universe, and the Professor created alternate universes in the boxes.

Well, that was just what the professor knew at the time. I don't think he was aware of any other universe's until The Farnsworth Parabox.

I actually was thinking about this yesterday, and I came to the conclusion that the cowboy universe is the only one adjacent to Universe A, and the other ones could only be reached through the paraboxes. But now I just agree with El Zilcho.

Yep, Luis, that's correct, although some have been known to disregard what is known just so their thoeries don't seem rediculous... *Coughs in such a way that the name "Stephen Hawking" can be heard, although none can claim that it was not a normal cough, as seen with the word "loser" in many movies and series*... No really, Hawking is a fraud. His only recognition comes through the pity-factor ("Oh, look. A retarded crippled guy who's also not very pretty! Oh, look. He's trying to think of something. Let's be supportive and make him feel respected!" ). If he hadn't discarded Bohr's theories, he would have realized that his Einstein-based innuendo is just that- innuendo. Ooops, rambling again... Yes, the professor obviously invents a PORTAL between the universes .(besides, the difference between the universe we follow on a regular basis and the one our guys visit first is that cointosses turn out different, right? The other ones have differences also, but somehow ALL of the Farnsworths have invented the so-called "parellel universe".) Another explanation would be that ONE of the professors invent ALL of the universes INCLUDING different history, small differences, etc. And that is pretty impressive, though I stick to the portal theory...

Sorry to bump this thread, but at least it was still on the first page. This is pretty much true... parallel lines are lines that never intersect; I would assume the same definition holds true for universes, although they aren't one-dimensional. Still, you'd think different terminology would be used if someone was trying to convey the idea of universes that border one another.
