Home Movies was on last night on Adult Swim and I was just noticing that the kid had on the same red jacket and blue jeans that Fry wears and he kept combing his hair up like how Fry has his hair in one of the movies he was doing and I was wondering if this might have been some kind of reference to Futurama. I dunno maybe I'm stoned or something but this seemed like too much of a coincidence... Anyone else know what I'm talkin' about?

Dammit, that's one of the 5 eps I haven't seen. I knew I should have watched it.

This might have been a James Dean impersonation...

I think they mentioned in the commentary for "SP3k" that they based Fry's outfit on James Dean's outfit in the movie mentioned by FemJesse.
(But I'm not sure...)

I saw that one but I can't remeber the part withthe guy who looks like Fry. It's more likely he was imatating James Dean. I remeber in either a interview or commentary Matt or David said they were basing FRy o Dean.

No. You're wrong. You have to see the begining of the episode.

No, you're wrong.  Fry's look was based on James Dean from "Rebel Without a Cause".  All of it, the jacket, pants and hair.  Brendon was dressed like that in the Home Movies episode because he was playing a James Dean parody too.  Discussion end.
