Since all the Robot Devil did with it was drop it in the trash, I'm sure Bender could find it if he gave the PE building a thorough shake-down.

@Atticus: AUGHHOHNO! I doubleposted!

It doesn't seem to me that a brand-new train of thought, introduced some time after the previous one, deserves the same excoriation we heap on noobs who haven't found the edit button.  I'm still new around here, but I think the *bump* pseudotag is notification that you double-posted intentionally and for good reason.  Any mods lurking around to confirm/deny?  It's not in the FAQ.

Aside to Canned Eggs: Every time I hear "<whatever> confuses...", I mentally finish with "...and infuriates us!"  I'm still waiting for a chance to use it in RL conversation  :laff:

I wonder can anyone do the math on how long those songs would have to be to fit 900 songs in 30 minutes? This is made even more puzzingling when ou consider that the two disks have 15 minutes of nusic each.

he said the records were OVER 30 minutes. he never said how much over. They could be several hours over for all we know.

When one says that, one assumes that is close to the actual amount of time. That's an incredibly low estimate of actual time so it can't be several hours.

Something’s been bothering me…
Okay, Fry strikes a bargain with Beelzebot. He swaps hands with the robot devil, allowing him to play the holophoner well enough (and then some!) to show Leela just how he feels about her by composing and performing an opera.
The robot devil schemes to get his hands back, and you all know the rest.
<aside>
And it was a damn fine episode to!
</aside>
Here’s what’s been bothering me:
Why?
“That’s just the kind of fan I am.” R-i-i-i-i-ght. This is the robot devil we’re talking about.
What motivated Beelzebot to swap hands with Fry in the first place? What possible gain could he have gotten from the deal? Yes, it was a fluke of chance that his name came up on the wheel, but why did he agree?

Because it was a chance to cause suffering and "Irony" on somebody. It just turned out Wrong/right. And you have to follow through even if the 1:100000000 chance comes up as good otherwise you lose respect as a Devil.

Maybe he had another bargain already planned for whatever robots hands he took.

I assumed that the Robot Devil had intended for Bender to have his hands replaced (in an act of general evilness I guess). What with the "a robot you probably might not know" and the fact that the wheel almost stops on bender.

Maybe the Robot Devil fixed the wheel of robots to land on Bender, and it malfunctioned and landed on him?

Also:

They try to stuff possibly every character that ever appeared in Futurama they could into this 22-minute episode, although Kif is missing. And Sal.

A question - Leela is deaf, so why doesn't she just get a cochlear implant?...

The technology exists now, so surely it must have improved to a considerable degree in the future?

All cochlear technology was destroyed during the ressurection of The Free Republic of Missouri in 2878, didn't you hear? Oh, guess not...

Duh, each would be exactly 2 seconds if they were all equal and it was 30 minutes long. 30 minutes times 60 seconds = 1800 seconds divided by 900 equals 2 seconds.

I posted this over in General as well, but did anyone else notice that when Zoidburg rings up to buy Fry's holophonor discs the man who answers the phone (saying only "hello" very quietly) sounds suspiciously like David X Cohen?

Did anyone notice that Amy switches seats in the Opera? It's clear that she is to the left of Leela (Our right). However after Leela is taken by the Robot Devil, and we have Amy's line "Not if Leela is engaged", she's now next to Hermes.

Slightly pointless question, but was that Hellbot who hit a sour note some 200 years back called Doug or something? ( :D)

Maybe not, but it sounded like that to me...  :hmpf:

One thing I noticed.

As you can see, Leela has wondered into the top room striaght from the hangar bay, but from this pic it's evident that the top room is no where near the same level as the hangar. Unless Farnsworth installed a worm-hole between the two perhaps?

I figured that the two records were probably 78s, That should be about 30 minutes worth of recording space.

Holophone is sort of classical music, and many classical fans would insist that vinyl has a better, warmer and more natural sound.  With well kept records and a good system, this is probably true.  However, for most people, a standard CD sounds good enough.

In the future, maybe 78s are the music snobs medium of choice?  Just a guess.

So... do  I have to draw leela with calculons ears now? she quite clearly has them here:

but in the next scene (when she's sat in the audience) I can't make any details out, can anyone help clear this up?

I don't know if I'm just stupid, but I'm hoping and praying dat the message they sent us, was in fact a message. And I'm talking about: SEE YOU ON SOME OTHER CHANNEL
Don't you hope so too? I think it's a hint, I don't believe it's over, it's just too sad.

I've been hearing things like this all over the web, everyone wants it back. The pictore of Fry, Leela and Bender above the sentence just gives me the idea that they ment to give us the hint that they will be back.

Let's hope so...

Uh... back to that poster with the hard hat dude on it.... If I'm not mistaken, that SP3K poster is the ONLY place that this fellow appears to have 5 fingers on each hand.

Just a thought but what would be the point of buying Cd's or vinyl of the holophonor when its main feature is the holographic projection.
