It would be good for a Happy Meal activity... "Fry was so scared of Beelzebot, he had the color scared out of his eyes! Color them in!"

I think the way his face looks in general in this particular framgrab is creepier than the missing eye color. He looks sort of like he's having trouble emptying his bowels. As for why it's not white, I'm not sure. Futurama's computer-colored so that means they didn't run out of color. It must be a conspiracy created by FOX to make fanboy fans of the show quit watching. In fact if you read the ratings for Futurama after 1ACV09 the "losers who get way too upset when small mistakes are made on their favorite shows" demographic ratings went down incredibly.

Wow! I'm amazed people are still finding new things in the old episodes. I thought they'd all already been turned inside out about a squillion times, but clool find, I never knew about that before

That framegrab really freaks me out! Has anyone else noticed / seen any other animation mistakes in any other episode?  :)

Leelas "Wristthinghy" disappears for a microsecond in the "Xmas story" Santa clause is gunning you down. More specific, When she sings "From here to pakistan"

In A Tale of Two Santa's When Fry and Leela run into the factory to escape Santa, she covers like 60ft in two strides! It looks wierd! They bring it up in the commentary too. When Zoidberg takes thw weights from Fry in Why Must I be a Crustacean in Love, Fry's body looks really odd, too long and slightly distorted.

Ok, that's one opinion. Let's hear some others. Frankly, I find this stuff interesting. Now I'm just waiting to hear "If you play the theme song backwards, you can hear 'Fox Sucks!'" hehe  :laff:

Well, it's brought up in the commentary, but I did reverse it in LogicAudio as well, the orange dude in DXC's segment of AOI2 is John DiMaggio saying "Where can a guy get some pants around here."  In the animatic, a different reversed line is used, which I can't quite make out because it seems to have been sped up as well and is unclear, but it sounds to be something along the lines of "this could do with a good wash."  Anyone?

There's another colouring glitch in "Brannigan Begins Again". After Leela gets of the ship on Stumbles 4, there's a scene where her right hand is grey (framegrab).

in the Deep South, hermes' manwhich disappears for like 1 frame.

u'll notice that the eyes in that frame grap are actually transparent, as they are a separate cell object in the animation program. It could be an effect to give it a sorta motion blur as it is a fast paced sequence.

[Offtopic] @Mercapto> How do you make your own framegrabs?

Two ways:

Either from my DVDs using PowerDVD's built-in capture function, or from my homemade DivX rips with VirtualDub 1.4. I usually use VirtualDub, because I'm too lazy to fetch my DVDs from the TV-area.  :)

i'm not sure if it applies to this particular type of screw up.. but in "a tale of two santa's" the neptunians get the tops of their hats cut off, they appear and re-appear for the next minute or so.. i havent seen this mentioned before, but i'm sure it probably has been.

In 2ACV09, when everyone goes "Woooooooooooo!" at the end of the wedding, Fry has 4 arms.

In 1ACV03 "I, Roommate", as Bender enters his apartment the first time, for a split second the entire bottom half of his head is yellow, not just his mouth.

I just noticed a frame discontinuty in "Time Keeps On Slipping"...it's so obvious it must have been noticed before, but it isn't mentioned in the PEEL discussion for that ep...

In the scene where Fry and Leela get married, look at Fry's left hand (your right hand) suit sleeve. Towards the end of the scene it "grows" away, part of the line breaking off completely. I'll try to get a grab if I can...

While looking for the error Sheep555 mentioned in the Frame Grabs section on CGEF I found this strange picture of Fry at the wedding: Now I guess it's possible that whoever took it accidently added the grey (or purposely) but it's still pretty funny. Anyone else notice Fry has some white on his lips and some grey on his cheek?

A whole bunch of CGEF framgrabs suck like that. I just assumed it was a framegrabbing error, not the show itself.

If I recall correctly, a lot of the color is keyed in by a computer program.  No doubt it runs automatically for long stretches.  We're seeing small manifestations of a bug or weakness.  They didn't catch the frame goof, or didn't have time to fix it by hand.  Who knows, maybe they fixed a lot of them but not all.  We (fans, in the aggregate) have probably watched this stuff frame-by-frame more than Curiosity Company or Rough Draft by now.

The grey on his cheek looks to me like it would be Zoidberg's mouth. Looking above Fry's hands I see Zoidy's claws, so to mee it only makes sence that the weird coloring in Fry's face is from Zoidberg's face.

No, it's just a sucky framegrab. Here the same frame from my DVD:

And I assume this is what sheep555 talked about. Notice Fry's left shoulder:
