Mine doesn't.
It was removed because it was too offensive.

Region 2 has "Condemned By The Space Pope" and "As Seen On TV" from 1ACV03 removed. Neither of these appeared in their first and subsequent airings on C4 either.

I am deeply shocked and appaled that the Futurama staff would even think of using a caption as offensive as "As Seen On TV".

I don't think it was removed for being too offensive... just an error. These are the only two episodes, IIRC, without a 'cold opening' on the disc, and for some bizarre reason, both of them have had the captions removed...

It IS illegal to download Futurama. Taping TV broadcasts IS legally different, for the reason that the makers of Futurama have received monetary payment for the broadcast from the TV channel, and because most people tape something just so they can watch it once at a more convenient time, rather than distribute them in a huge piracy ring a la kazaa.
Anyway.. I just thought of a possible reason for the removal of 'As Seen on TV'... it's LAME, but I've seen stranger... Perhaps it was thought that the 'As Seen on TV' joke didn't work when the episode is on DVD ie not actually being broadcast on TV... it's silly, but you never know. If it's not an error, than the pope one is more likely than not censorship.

I have it. Maybe it's been removed for a particular country.

Or if you live here in Sweden you don't have to care because neither is illegal. Huzzah! edit: On second though, watching it a second time on tape might be, not quite sure. But downloading and watching "illegal" DVD-rips and such? Completely legal. Uploading however...
