I saw many mistakes in the cryogenics lab in this episode.
1) after failing to fall in the freezer the desk seems to be way, way too far forward for him to even bash his head.
2) a few seconds later the chair disappers completely.
3) when fry returns with al gore and co. the freezer keeps being shown open and then closed. this also happens earlier when he misses the freezer.

Anyone else see these or others?

The tube that gets wiped by fry has a guy with glasses in it, in the pilot the guy didnt wear glasses.

All the above are due to the paradox that results from Fry failing to get frozen.

Or wizards.  Whatever.

In the segment with Fry and "What would happen if....Blah, Blah, Blah", The timing was wrong with the countdown. In the pilot, after he says "Here's to another lousy millenium", the timer starts. In AOI 1, the timer starts BEFORE he says the line.

The whole concept behind that Fry vignette was stoopid.  Are they saying that if he didn't get a
crank call and go to the cryo lab, the entire universe would have imploded.  Jockey Troll Stuff

No, they're saying if he didn't get frozen for 1000 years, the universe would be destroyed. Nothing happens to the space-time continuum until Fry destroys the cryotube.

Standard sci-fi plot.

What Teral said is true. Go watch "The Why of Fry." The universe would have been destroyed had Fry not been frozen.

So I had to wait 40 episodes to find that out huh?  I'm not a furious internet user (braindead)
so please forgive me for complaining about an episode that made no sense what-so-ever.  And if it relates to your little Nibbler-Fry why am I in the 40th century theory, who even cares.  You all act as if every little plot twist adds meaning to your pointless lives.  Get to a beach on the Gold Coast Dude!

This came up in another thread; someone said Nibbler might have placed the call, but been prevented from returning to the cryogenics place for some reason.

Well all of the people might have acted the same way, that is what would have created the paradox. They would have been trying to live there lives as if Fry was there, because the universe knew he should be. Other than that the fact that fry didn't run away from the cryo lab could have lead to Leela leaving her job saving bender etc. etc. There is no way to speculate as to what could have happened.

That's the whole problem with the "what if" scenario.  Someone once said that counterfactuals are always true, because the premise is false.  My point is that this sort of inconsistency should probably not be regarded as an error.

Besides we saw the other 4 characters through a rift in the space-time continuum, who knows what screwy things this could do to the timeline.

Maybe Fry remaining in the present resulted in a string of events, that ultimetely menat Leela and Bender would take a job at PE on their own wish. Chaos theory and all.

Plus if Voyager have taught us anything, it's time-paradoxes doesn't have to make sense.

The What if machine displays what if, so if the time space gravitons got crossed with the differences of what if combined with the outside force of X then differences like these are bound to happen. X being a wizard.

Yes, logic tells us that contrafactuals are always true.

And, even better, quantum physics tells us that contrafactuals are actually meaningless. Which is even more entertainingly ridiculous. If there is any way to answer the question, "What if," then either causality doesn't work, or there's no objective reality, or... well, the other choices get even weirder from there.

Um, the question posed to the what-if machine was "What if I had invented the finlonger?"
I don't necesarilly believe that the vignettes that were within the vision shown to Farnsworth were accurate or even vaguely serious.

:laff:  THERE IS NO ONE THERE AT THE CYRO LAB TO ORDER THE PIZZA NIBBLER EVEN SAID HIMSELF THAT HIS KIND CAN LIVE FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS
Plus I saw that Fry's dialouge matched you don't see the shadow

2 reasons
1.the episode nor nibbler wasn't planned then
2. 30th centuray Fry is holding nibbler back
