Has anyone else noticed the profision of throwaway 'things' in some episodes?
For example, in "Kif gets knocked up a notch", we're briefly introduced to "the angry dome" (which vanishes later that same episode).
Bender has numerous extra openings in his head and elsewhere (to name a few: jack-on socket, language cartrige slot, brain-disk-slot, exhaust vent, rear chest cavity access (from Godfellas), etc)

The ship also has a huge number of rooms (anyone counting?)

Can anyone else name other throwaway 'things'? What would bender & everything else look like with all of them intact? :P

Welcome to PEEL Arachnid.

Good idea for a topic and there are so many and I can't think of any...

As a matter of fact, yes. Andy has made a complete schematics of the ship, and it's various rooms. You can see it at Ain't No Such Thing As Too Much Amy Wong.

Welcome to PEEL. Enjoy it here.

Teral: Thanks for the link. That was interesting, though it doesn't describe what the diagrammed 'escape chute' is, or where it came from!

All purpose spray, its used for clothes and amy also sprays christmas lights out of it.

They dont pay much attention to scale when drawing the planet express ship, sometimes its huge others, its barely enough to fit the crew.

anyone her ever get the feeling that there were WAY too many broom closets in futurama? just so many storage rooms capable of storing a vast amount of things, but where to use them? just more and more storage, you will sore and take out things but have nowhere to use them, oh my yes, it will drive the crew insane!

just like "stoner drafts all foyer mansion"

The 'escape' chute is shown at the end of 'The Cryonic Woman' when the professor remembers that he fired Fry and pulls a lever to drop him out of the ship.

In Futurama Comic #2 (Or 3, I can't remember) called "But Deliver us to Evil," Bender introduces Lucy and Ricky to several different rooms that aren't diagrammed in the Amy Wong website, including the Jungle Room, the Morgue, etc.

I took that as a joke. Don't pay any attention to that.

And the PE Ship has in the episodes 'My three suns' and 'Deep south' that dinner room and in 'Why must i be a crustacean in love' they have another room that i had never seen before and haven't seen since.

There's a really funny reference to that room in the commentary of that episode. Well, it made me laugh but I'm easily pleased!  What I want to know is, in The Deep South (2ACV12) how did they get those windows to appear?  The dining-type room appears in several episodes, but those windows... hmmm.... :laff:

In the episode Love And Rocket had the PE Ship's computer and it's brain room and the uniforms. All disappeared by the next episode.

The Farnsworth Parabox had the Ejection Port.

I think the writers made fun of the fact that they always introduce new rooms within the PE ship which will never reappear again.
Just listen to the "WMIBACTBIL" commetary...  :D

The writers have gone out of their way to make the ship like a tardis. Purely to piss off the fans and get them to discuss the inacurate things on the internet, oh just like this. Well done writers mission achieved.

Sounds fine to me.
And the guy that runs the site with blueprints seems to have done a pretty good job, though I don't know what he'll do about the 'ejection port' that was shown in The Farnsworth Parabox...

At one point they debated whether they should make a plan for the ship and stick with it, but then decided it would be too much of an hazzle. At one point an animator asked Rich Moore in what direction the stars should be travelling outside the windows in Leela's quarter. His answer: "I don't know!" And he didn't care either, as long as they moved.
