Hi everyone from Spain!
I'm new in this forum but I've already read almost all messages (and learnt really LOTS of things bout futurama thanks to you all).
I want to ask you a question, in "Less than hero" (or is it "less than heroes"?) when Bender gets hit by the kangaroo it appears "01001010" that translated to decimal is 74. What does that 74 mean? The ascii char for 74 is J so I supposed it could mean something like "yay!!!" but I'm not pretty sure. Can someone help me?
Thanks again   :)

Considering the nerdy references put in by the Futurama cast (Bender's room-number anyone?), I'll go out on a limb and say it doesn't mean anything. It's just a spoof of the visual punch-noises from old Batman-movies. Where Batman and Robin would fight a villian and his henchmen, and every time someone was hit a large cartoon-sign would appear "pow!!!!", "Smack!!!!", etc.

Welcome to PEEL, LuTHieR. Enjoy it here.

well don't be so quick...
01001010 in hex would be 4A (very loose hurray?)
in octal it would be 112 and 112(dec) is "p"... i dont think that goes anywhere...
if u reverse it, the hex is 52 and 52(dec) is "4"
in decimal its "R"... octal it becomes "z"
so R4pzJ and also "4A"... nope i think its garbage, but i didnt wanna do all that work for no post

I'll answer that one. DXC pointed out in the commentary on I, Roommate. 00100100 is binary for 36, which is $ in ASCII.

It's just that I didn't think it doesn't mean anything, assuming that any other binary number I've seen in Futurama (the 666 in "The honking", Bender's room number in "I, roommate", ...) had a significate.
And frankly, I can't believe that they just put a random number (except if it was something like "let's fool futurama fans and see how much theories they can put up about this random number..." )
Thanks everyone :-)

well c'mon then, lets make up some more crazy theories, like maybe they're not 1's and 0's but letters or symbols in AL3!

I'm sure Cohen will tell us in the audio commentary on the season 4 DVD. Whatever we come up with, he'll probably laugh and point at us for getting it wrong.  ;)

I'll go with Teral's first guess; that it doesn't mean anything, but is just spoofing Batman.

To quote our friend Sigmund Freud: "Sometimes an eight digit binary number is just an eight digit binary number*  :D

Less Than Hero recheck:

Is that a woman?  With Randy?  Maybe I'm all turned around about this Randy character after all.  Maybe it's just SXD's new title, but I just don't get Randy with a woman.

I think that's the lady with the huge ass from "I, Roommate." They could be just friends, since they do live in the same building...

Who says Randy is gay?  He could just be a really effeminate heterosexual, like Mr. Humphries.

(But that is the woman from "I, Roommate.")

Just because she's clutching onto Randy doesn't change his obvious sexual preferences. I mean - c'mon! There's a very large chance they could've died! She might just be using him as a human shield or something...

I agree. Also, Quick question- Now that R2 S4 is out, did anyone listen to the LTH commentary? if so, did DXC or anyone else say anything?

Randy and the lady with the 'huge ass' were having dinner at Elzar's in Bender Gets Made it seems.

you can see them throughout the 'table' scene with Bender and the robot mafia.

Good catch.  I never noticed this post before, and I just spotted them in this scene yesterday.  Does anyone else have any other scenes of Randy with his woman?
