Hello!

I'm new here so I am not sure, if this question has popped out before...

I was watching episode space pilot 3000 from futurama DVD with commentaries and was wondering .... what was the second secret in it? I know the first with the shadow, but what's the second secret ("We have you partially sorrounded", and so on ...). Can you tell me please?

The second "secret" where the police shout "We have you partially surrounded!" was a joke, there's no secret there AFAIK, just one of the guys joking around and shouting "Secret!". The one in the sewers with the mutants is a secret about Leela's heritage...

I think they said it that went Bender suddenly dropped a brick, when the cops told them that they have them surrounded. (-> to shit a brick = being afraid or scared)
They used this again in "Bendin' in the Wind." (after Bender ate the bad potato chips)
I hope this explanation made sense to you.  :p

Enjoy it at PEEL, vipersan.

The potato chips in Bendin in the wind were Olyestro Chips, fried in a chemically modified oil that the body cant absorb making them essentially fat free, the joke there is that although people can eat the chips no worries, the err "waste" produced was a little odd. I think it is why the chips never became main stream.

Look it up its really quite interesting...

Although if you choose to look it up, spell it "Olestra Chips"  :)

Another problem with the cips was that they reduced the bodies ability to absorb vitamins...

Well, thanks for the welcome.

You see, first time they said secret was in the exact scene, that there was a secret, and there was that so-much-talked-about shadow, but second time they said it, it was in the scene, when Bender says: "Well, we're boned!" and then Leela turns around and says something. I checked that scene so much, it hurt my eyes, and didn't see anything, so I believe it was the brick. Most probably  :)

thanks and BR.

One of my favorite public relations blunders of all time was when they released the report proving that olestra actually caused only about 60% as much "leakage" as originally thought. What better way to make sure you end up the butt (no pun intended) of jokes on Leno, Letterman, SNL, Mad TV, etc.

And so, within months, Olestra was gone, and dieters went back to relying on nothing but aspartame (NutraSweet) to reduce calories. Which is much smarter, since aspartame only causes brain damage.
