Why does he want to kill himself when he finds out in the 1st ep. that the girders he bends are actually for suicide booths? I figure he's pretty misanthropic anyway, so normally it shouldn't bother him at all. Right?

I think they were daring already making an cleptomanic and alcoholic one of the 3 lead characters.

Since everybody liked him they made him gradually more egocentric and "evil".
