...what about Bender's magnetic bow tie in "A Flight to remember"? It does not seem to have any fx on him, whereas in "The series has landed", we all know he starts to sing folksongs and act strange.
How come?

Seriously though, didn't Fry stick the magnet on Bender's head whereas the tie was on his body?  Maybe location has something to do w/ that.  The better question qould be what about the magnet in the can opener from "Second that emotion" and the giant one in "The Honking?"
