Hello and welcome to my very first thread ever: Searching songs in Futurama episodes.
To explain that: Some days ago I saw a site about all songs and songtitles in Simpsons-episodes and I thought "how much songs and titles may by (hidden) in the Futurama episodes?"
Here some examples:
The Title of Comic 1 is "Monkey Sea, Monkey Doom" wich remembers me the song "Monkey See, Monkey Doo" by "Sam the Sham and the Pharaos".
Zapp Brannigan sings "Lola" (from "The Kinks" ) in the episode "Amazon Women ..."

I'm curious what song or title you may find

  :)

Daisy Bell (Bicycle built for two) is from 1892 (very old   :D  ).
The episode title "A bicyclops built for two" seems to be basing on that song-title.

"Insane in the mainframe": the episode-title is a reference to the songtitle and the lyrics of the song "Insane in the Brain" by "Cypress Hill" (1992).

Thank you for that idea, but there are still a lot of song-titles "hidden" in episodes, no-one knows about.
Here an example: In "I dated a robot" Bender says "And then along came Bender" and destroys that LucyLu-Bot.
So, nothing special you may think, but ... Yesterday I heard an Oldies-CD and I was really surprised when I heard the song "Along came Jones" by The Coasters ... lyrics: And than along came Jones ...
This is just one example of "hidden" songs.
May you know another.   :)

It's funny when other people can't get along. It's even funnier when one of the parties has infinately more power on the message board than the other.   :laff:

Also, that piece of classical music we all know and love:

"I  like   big butts and I cannot lie..."

I think that's right anyway.

Also, in the shower Fry sometimes sings, "Im walking on sunshine"

Perfect. I'm just getting good enough at guitar to learn to play songs. If I get good enough at it I'll make a recording... along with a Nixon impression.

Bless you Teral. Truely you are the Helpy McHelpHelp.

Stars and stripes or some other 'Merickan thing. But the Holophonist in the band was awesome, although I think that and the huge reference to Fry's holophoner in Futurama VS Simpsons 2 was just buttering us up for Devils Hands. Which I know I'll hate. Probably. Nah, I'll love it.

It's quite disturbing that a page like this could reach almost a full page without anybody mentioning Conga by Gloria Estefan.
