Purposedly drilled holes in the chasis? If they know what the competition is about, they could drill tiny holes, leading to non-essential components of their system.

In "The Farnsworth Parabox," near the end, when Hermes is about to eject the box into the sun, one shot shows his hand move away from the eject button, but in the next shot, less than a secong later, his hand is very close to the button.

this has nothing to do with goofs but Disney&groening, isnt it great that your ice hockey team are named after 3 really bad motion pictures. Because of that thier my favourite team.

A goof. In "I second that emotion" the magnetic can opener messes up bender's head. Few screens later his head is just fine.

That wasn't the bad part...  Hermes was sitting in the ship near the sun when everyone decides to get in the box, but the next momen Hermes has the box in the eject booth and then they pop out RIGHT before he's pushing the button.....

For christ sakes....
Its a cartoon....one of the reasons its funny is because of the goofs...without the goofs it would be just jokes.

If they made sure there was no goofs they wouldn't do the fansworth paradox episode....that in my opinion was the funniest episode yet.
That episode was a big goof....there is no way that they could fit a universe in a box, and fit another one inside of it, and then take the universe that your are living in and sit on it
that is impossible.

The universe would stop expanding/ break out of the box. and life would be destroyed.

oh look I just contradicted my self. :-s

In "A Leela of Her Own," what was Leela doing in the dugout if she was a relief pitcher?  Some weird Blernsball rule I guess.

Also, in "I Dated a Robot," Madeline Albright's pressure alarm never activated.  I guess she wasn't valuable enough to bother hooking up an alarm.

From the "other thread"....

Statue of Liberty - in Space Pilot 3000 we see it standing as always in the opening credits, but later we see her holding a pedestrian tube when fry takes the "cross town express"

Bender in High School - he's a robot, high school could take 1 minute, or whatever, so the fact that he's "4" doesn't preclude his attending high school.  In fact, he majored in Bending in college...

also in
"I second that emotion" when his head is being severed he dosen't sing folksongs even though his head is attached to a magnetic can opener.

Also bender went to college and high school although in "Bendless love" we see how he finishes bending high school in a matter of seconds right after his birth.

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned, I didn't care to read all 5 pages of you repeating each other. Only reasonable arguments are acceptable. Not foney belony ones that you made up in 2 seconds.

And why would the crosstown express go down to the Statue of Liberty anyway?  It's like miles south of Manhattan (it's in New Jersey, in fact).  I ought to take a closer look at the tube map they show when Fry gets spit out of the tube at the end of the ride, but I'm pretty sure that makes no sense at all.  Maybe it's a joke about the L train.

Hell is other robots:

Belzibot (however you spell it) takes bender's arm when he sings "Please stop sining while I singing" and kicks him through a hole in the floor.  When we see him land, he has both arms again.

When Leela and Fry are singing and sliding down the slide they seem to pass each other twice, even tho we clearly see that the slide is only one person wide.

Continuity thing:
In "I second that emotion" it seems that sewere mutants are just legend for many people but in future episodes (Leela´s homeworld, Less than hero) their existence is totally obvious for society.

I apologise if this has been mentioned already but in Anthology of Interest 1 when we see the hole in the time space continuum bender leela prof etc are together yet if fry never made it to the future none of them would know each other as fry was the catalyst of there union and none of them new fry as demonstarted when bender started throwing bottles at them

Minor goof:

In The Day The Earth Stood Stupid, specifically the scene with Leela and the nibblonians approaching earth.. more specifically, the line "You can count on me", Fiona (female nibblonian) is drawn with fangs where she normally has none...

Just something I picked up on I suppose

This is a stupid one but..
Remember Antology of Interest II when human bender hais blonde hair?

Well, it's funny because in this episode:
bender has red hair.
I know that there's a big difference between a robot and a human but they could have made bender at least the same hair color.

As Canned eggs says David X answers that in the audio commentary. This is what David X said "Magnets on Benders neck/body/chest is okay but magnets on Benders head screws up his inhabition-unit"

Well if thats not beard...
If that's rust it would be weird too, because he passed covered with soil for more than 1000 in Roswell that ends well, and he didn't get any rust, but then in 30% iron chief he got in less than one gay a rust beard.
And then that rust dissappers automatically.
Well it's year 3003 everything can happen.

Has anyone questioned how Fry was able to buy however many refridgerator magnets and a t-shirt on the moon?  After all, this was the crew's first delivery, so I doubt he's been paid, and what little 20th-century money he had was certainly no good, and he had yet to rediscover his bank account . . .

I suppose he could have borrowed some from the Professor, but is that really all that likely?

maybe he had to carry a small amount of money with him on pizza deliveries, in order to make change. Much like pizza-men of today.

more likely of course is the answer that, deep down in your heart, you already know

A thought occured, in Hell is Other Robots Bender, while in Elzars restaurant Bender said that alchol was poison yet he needs alchol to live [even though he is'nt alive]. Also in Hell is Other Robots Leela and Fry used Nibbler to find Bender, but Nibbler disappeared after leela and Fry entered Robot Hell.
Debate this, if you must.

no the logical answer is he had some money from his pizza deliveries in the 20th century and he then sold this (as it was no longer legal tender) to a collector of antiques. Well either that or it was the wizard

Maybe this has come up before (I don't think it has), but in Insane in the Mainframe there's a scene where Fry is sitting with the other robots in the canteen. We see a long shot showing Fry sitting next to the mad vending machine. There's a sound effect of a dollar bill being spat out by the vending machine, but in that one particular scene the bill isn't actually animated...(does that make any sense?)

Bender can use synthetic fuel instead, as seen at the insane asylum in "Insane in The Mainframe". The reason bender said it was poison was beacuse his religion condemmed alcohol. It was all a religious thing.

Nibbler didn't go down the slide, he stayed above ground. He made his way back to the hotel afterwards on his own.

a little off that point but realistically, in that scene when bender throws the magnet away, would it not get stuck to benders hand and not the wall?.

Sorry if it's been mentioned, but in L & R, in the scene with the floating hearts when Fry finds the "u leave me breathless" one, and Leela ignores it, he eats it, and we can clearly see him chew it.  But when he coughs it up it's in whole.

there are some rules of animation that you should know before you submit a goof.
1.) Everything heals.  Soon.
2.) Characters can take stuff from the omnipresent "animation pocket" whenever necessary and funny, and they can also put it back there when they're done with it.  The entrance to the animation pocket is usually behind the character's back or below camera view.
He didn't rust in the 1000years of sitting in Roswell because one of the chief components to make rust is water.  there is very little water in the desert.  thats why its a desert.
as for his money on 102, he had some money in his wallet in the 20th century no doubt, and it was still there in the 30th century and he spent it.  they still use dollars, so whats the problem?
who's to say that Fry is the only possible way that 'the gang' could have gotten together?  they couldve met at the beastie boys concert or ANYTHING.
also, this forum could take a lesson from www.moviemistakes.com
using the word "clearly" in ur goof references doesnt help anything.
