Futurama Cuts UK - little help?

I just read the cut list. Geeeee-yosh!!! Sky sucks! But I'll bet all these cuts are making uncut DVDs sell even better.

Seems any trace of Leela and Zapp having had sex has been ruthlessly removed.

It's Channel 4, not Sky, that are the worst.

But Sky have made minor cuts of the most offensive things (mostly the word "bastard/s", and
ZOIDBERG "How will I get rid of my male jelly now?"
FRY "I'll lend you this [severed arm]..."

No chance. Any time before 9pm and it'll be censored as heavily. (although there does seem to be some confusion about the watershed - some channels seem to think it's 8pm, some 10pm)

I wonder what that "Working Girls" show is about after the 7pm news...

On Friends they say "bastard" sometimes - do they censor that on the 6pm one?

They censored the making love to the pie in American Pie and this is stupid!

They do say 'bastard' and 'son-of-a-bitch' on Friends, but Channel 4 don't think any kids will be watching that so it's not necessary to censor it (except for one time last year - www.geocities.com/futurama_cuts/News01  )

They're just mixed up about Futurama, and who its real target audience is.

As for Working Girls, it's probably just a name.

And bear in mind that there were two different versions of that movie - American Pie (15) and American Pie Uncut (18), with some slight differences. Maybe they showed a different version to the one you saw (unless C4 censored the WHOLE of the making-love-to-the-pie thing, in which case they're a bunch of maggots).

Hey y'all:

ABOUT SEASON 3 ON C4:

I try to tape as many episodes as I can off Sky, to get most of the cuts by C4. (it's not a guarantee that I'll get all of them, but it works pretty well. Plus, you get stereo sound watching it on two TVs)
I've recorded all of them for season 4, but only half of season 3 as yet. Here's the whole season's ep list - 'x' marks those I don't have:

Bender says "bastard" in the line "You stole my last beer you bastard"  I predict that WILL be cut

Also there is a part where there were some were-car killings at a porno theatre.

There's also some kinda violent scenes in the episode.

They probably won't like the shot of Bender being hit by the were-car, or the two vandals smashing a car up before Bender kills them (don't ask me why, just they'll probably cut it), or the fortune-teller pointing a space-gun.
Strangely for an episode involving Bender so much, he doesn't say 'ass' once, just 'butt'. Also, Fry says 'craps', referring to the casino game, but C4 always censor the word 'crap', so knowing Channel 4 that one will probably go too.
In Bender Gets Made C4 didn't mind the word 'kill', but did censor 'death'. It'll probably be the same here. Or, more likely, the other way round.

I think channel 4 should show Futurama twice a week apart from showing it once a week and letting Hollyoaks, (which I really hate) 4 times a week.

I don’t know why Hollyoaks is on 6pm where they deal with sex, gays, and sometime this week there going to be some lesbian kissing. While Channel 4 treated Futurama like shit.

I think you all right with the cut scenes on the Episode The Honking. Yeah they going to cut Bender’s quote “That’s my beer you bastard, I’ll kill you” why don’t they show it at 8pm for god sake!

There were only 2 cuts for offensiveness, and in fact C4's episode was longer than Sky One's! But we still don't know their current policy on 'ass' - no one said that this episode - but we'll find out in War Is The H Word next week (remember Bender's #1 word?)

Yeah, well, knowing C4 they'll cut a few out and keep a few in. But I can't see them keeping in:
"We've already seen too many body bags, and ball sacks"
or the headline "Balls thoroughly licked". Even though they're completely innocent lines...

Hey, here's a question for yaz:

What were the words of the song 'Santa Claus is Gunning You Down' at the end of Xmas Story? Channel 4 cut out the line 'from here to Pakistan' and perhaps another bit. The C4 version of the song sounded something like this:

He sees you when you're sleeping
Or when you're on the can
#############
Santa Claus is gunning you dooown!!!

There's something missing there.

3 words were censored (I think) - porno, porno and bastard. I don't know if they cut any violent scenes or anything.

Another difference was when Leela was about to be run over by Bender and the US version went to 'commercials', Sky left out about 5 seconds of footage, but C4 didn't.

It wasn't badly cut, by Channel 4 standards - but then again, C4 tend to cut out language and sexual stuff but leave most violence in, which is a bit screwed up.

In the list of top ten words, number 5: Pimpmobile was overdubbed with zapp saying "of course" and the screen cut to the characters for a couple of seconds.

Later, when bender is arguing with the balls he says "I'm catching the next pimpmobile out of here".

Overall fairly well done. All references to ass left in. Did anyone else notice just how short the ad break was though? I guess that's a good thing.

I watched War is the H-word and it's not bad. C4 only cut one word "Pimpmoblie" and they haven't scred up the top 10.

The good thing is that they didn't cut the word "Ass". I think C4 wouldn't cut that word becasue it was Bender's top word and the episode would be meesed up if they did cut the word.
